Rumour - Marcelo Trotter

We're considering a loan move for Marcelo Trotter apparently

Reading are considering a loan move for Fulham's young Italian striker Marcello Trotta.

Trotta, who has managed just one league start since signing senior terms with Fulham in 2011, is well behind the likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Darren Bent and Hugo Rodallega in the forward pecking order at Craven Cottage.

And Royals boss Nigel Adkins wants to take him to the Madejski Stadium on a short-term deal.

But Adkins faces stiff competition from the player's homeland, with a number of Serie B teams keen on him, while the 20-year-old recently rejected a move to Polish side Zawisza Bydgoszcz.

Trotta has previously spent time on loan at Watford, Wycombe Wanderers and Brentford.

He's the bloke that missed the pelanty for Brentford that would have sent them up.

Speaking of loans from Fulham, one possible loan being talked about is Hugh Rodallega

Have hardly seen him play but 6 goals in 22 games for Brentford doesn't seem great.

Strong, skillful, plays the lone striker role well.

We could do worse.

Trotta did OK for Brentford last year but his attitude really let him down. He had Billy Big Bollocks syndrome, as demonstrated by nicking the ball from the club captain and designated penalty taker. Not good enough for us really, Brentford thought they were in with a shot of signing him permanently to that tells you the sort of level he is.

Young though, so plenty of scope for improvement.

9 goals in 21 starts isn't to be sneered at.

Anton isn't big and he isn't shit. Besides they play different roles: Anton is a chairman not a player.
