Supposably we are back in for Nahki Wells. A bid is ready to be tabled after his good start of the season

I love this concept - used by many in the media - that a club is 'ready to make a bid', as if the idea is discussed then put on the back burner.

Picture the scene, Hammond's office.

Hammond: "Nakhi Wells?"
Adkins: "Yeah, I rate him"
Hammond: "Ok. I'll call Bradford. Tomorrow. I've got a jigsaw puzzle to finish"
Adkins: "Yeah fair play, I need to run the wife down to TK Maxx myself actually, she's got a couple of tops to return"
Hammond: Cool. Just to re-cap then, we're set to make a bid for Nakhi Wells?"
Adkins: "Yep, nice one. No hurry. To be honest, as long as we're thinking about doing it then we'll leak it to Hob Nob and that'll shut those spastics up for a bit"

The problem with this scene is that it suggests that R4E is in touch with higher ups in the club...

would be a quality signing but dont think we'd have the 3-5 million needed to buy him + a lone striker is still the priority..

Won't cut it in champ. Limited skill and playing in side very much route one style. Be surprised if we are looking at him.

Supposedly. We don't have the money for someone like that.

Adkins doesn't have the right formula for that.

Plus imagine how he'd react when Anton told him he'd lost his wallet....

Watford are on his case so even if we were interested it seems unlikely we would compete with their mighty spending powers

Going to a bigger club than ours, if he moves at all.
