They've qualified for 16 seasons in a row now, and always made it through to the knockout stage.....thats why they are there

No Fixed Abodesputnik Can't say I'm particularly bothered about Scottish football, but that was a very enjoyable game.
I can understand Lennon and Brown, but what's wrong with their fans ?

Yes I get that but they haven't won their own domestic league for a decade, unlike the other genuine top seeds.

Royalclapper I get why UEFA seed the teams and the need to have a ranking system in place, but by any stretch of the imagination Arsenal are being afforded a status that's way beyond their ability level. If you get an easy group it's possible to keep getting through while better teams do not. It's never going to be perfect of course and the luck of the draw is important, it just doesn't sit right when you've got Dortmund and Man City ranked lower than Arsenal.

Of course Arsenal should be ranked above Dortmund and City. Fair enough Dortmund were runners up last year but City didn't win a CL game last season did they? Dortmund haven't qualified all the time and City are Johnny come lately s.

That's why the point was made about the groups. Chelsea were knocked out in the group stages but I understand their ranking. Arsenal are way above their level which ever way you look at it, great club as they are, there's no way they are a top seed.
And Lolz at a Chelsea fan calling City JCL's. Never in their wildest dreams did Chelsea ever think they had a place at European Football's top table until the rouble came along. That's why they didn't like Benitez because he exposed them for what they are i.e. JCL overachieving nouveau riche who could never get anywhere near that standard of competition.
