You missed out the word at the end of that sentence - Aparently
Meaning its not a fact, but indeed a rumour

Good one

St. Brynjar Rewrite history however you want, but he's been the best player we've had for an age.

I was prepared to let that go once, but twice?

The age in question is just quite short

Really? Little? He had one great season. Kebe has had 29 years of being a god.

Thought he was better than Gylf. I was quite young then but I felt Gylfi got more credit because of pens etc.

Obviously Gylfi is streets ahead now. The age in question started when Glenn got injured.

madstadblues From what I can make out he only wanted to play for MacD, doesn't seem to give a monkey's about the club or us fans.

Completely wrong. I understand he thinks Adkins a good manager

Kill the blasphemer

I think people forget how important Little was in 06/07, he played in about 2/3rds of our games, including great games at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford.

Now he was injury prone.

Fucking massive Lolz at Kebe holding a candle to either of those two.

Kebe was good at what he did, but he's lost a bit of pace recently and it showed in his performances. He'll always be remembered fondly I'm sure, but lets not insult our the few real quality players we've had by including him in that same bracket.

winchester_royal For a guy with his fitness issues £2m is exceptionally good business for us.

One hopes Nicky will prove himself to be as adept at thrashing out incoming deals over the next couple of days.

Think the deal was £750k not £2m

St. Brynjar Are you lot oxf*rd retarded? Shortest oxf*rd memories of any fans out there. There are RUMOURS, nothing more, of him deliberately not playing, rumours which he's flatly denied and no one has confirmed, and suddenly he's Joseph oxf*rd Fritzl. Blaming him for his injuries? Smooth.

Last year:
With Kebe = 19 games, 5 defeats
Without Kebe = 25 games, 19 defeats

That says a lot. He's a Premier League player. Sure, he had bad games. They were rare. A lot of you are mistaking 'good' for 'shit', and using the fact he can play out of his skin as a reason to slate him for having decent if unspectacular games. Well you've all got what you wanted, the bad man is leaving you all alone and you're now left with the even more inconsistent and perennially greedy McCleary, Hal 'One-Foot' Kanu and the one player the Reading massive seem to crucify above all others, the gut-busting role model McAnuff to partner Drenthe on the wings.

Rewrite history however you want, but he's been the best player we've had for an age. Even 11/12, arguably his worst season for us, his 'shocking delivery' resulted in Roberts' first and Le Fondre's winner against Saints and won us the league. In our comeback against Brom who scored the first and won the penalty for the second? Who beat Sunderland for us? I'm well aware I sound like a whiny shit but I'd rather that than the grumpy old git that's sitting in front of most of your computer screens.

These are all facts.

+1
Don't see how 5 goals in 16 appearances (league) could be classed as failure

it can't be a failure when mcanuff has scored zero in 50...but he's still lauded ...

I don't understand why he would go to Palace though - i mean, they are coming straight back down so by the time he's fit, he'll still be a Championship player.

Surely he could set his sights higher than a club with a ground that looks like it belongs in League Two

If I was 13 now I'd be spunking myself over Le Fondre and ending every post with #flaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaames.

I can see the case for saying that Kebe has contributed more to the Reading cause or something equally banal, but Gylfi was definitely the better player IMO.

I would like to briefly point to Gylfi's two final goals for us. Against Burnley, when he got the ball from the left about 20 yards out, looked up and decided he was going to score. Then against Leicester he just deftly chipped the goalkeeper.

Started when I was 5. By 13 I'd seen it all before.
Now Royston's here all bets are off though.
Go on Royston!!!!
