Ian Royal So.
On Friday, Kebe is told he's not going to be risked for a long journey up North, but will play on Tuesday. Presumably with the suggestion that he shows what he can do to earn his place back in the side.
On Saturday Kebe rings up BBCRB and says he's been fit for two weeks and not been picked.
On Monday Kebe calls his manager and rules himself out of playing on Tuesday, saying he's tweaked his hamstring?
On Tuesday, Adkins is asked about why Kebe didn't play and informs the media of the reason, he then goes on to say that there's been PL interest in the player and implies there's a link between the two and that Kebe could have played at the end of last season but didn't want to and used injuries as an excuse.
On Wednesday / Thursday its confirmed that Palace have made a bid that we've accepted.
On Saturday Adkins confirms that Kebe was at Palace having a medical
On Saturday Holloway confirms he's signed Kebe.

Now none of that confirms that Kebe pulled a sickie and refused to play when he wasn't genuinely injured. But it doesn't take a genius to read between the lines and come to the obvious conclusion.

Especially when it's a player who has previously gone on strike at his loan club, to push through a move to another club. And has previously spoken out to the media about a lack of signings and ambition from the club, whilst in contract negotiations.

Anyone who thinks Kebe is entirely innocent in this has their fingers in their ears, their eyes closed and are shouting "Nar nar nar, I'm not listening, nar nar nar."

If it were Guthrie......................

I'm pleased he's(Kebe) gone now. He certainly ain't no legend for us, with exception of the pulling up socks incident vs West Ham

If it were Guthrie, it'd be exactly the same.

The main difference between Guthriegate and Kebegate being, the problem with Guthrie was that he wanted to play, and was being either misused, or left to rot on the bench. And he has since knuckled down, said he wanted to say and got on with things. Neither did he (probably) lie about the reason he didn't play.

I meant on here..if Guthrie had of done the same the past week, certain HNA'ers would be wanting blood spilt

But, oh Kebe who does what he wants, seems to be a cult hero 'round these parts

It's because we have the most racist fans in the country. I'm as sickened as you are.

An enigma who scored how many goals in the Premiership from midfield and in a relegated side :|

As one of the few Reading players who didn't look out of place in last season's top flight, this is a big loss regardless of what a number of resident idiots may think.

My abiding memories will be his goal against West Brom in the cup and cupping a hand to his ear in the direction of his east stand detractors, who were probably too busy w@nking to Nicky Shorey.

Very sad to see you go Jimmy, enjoy sarf London!!

PS. Forgot about Sockgate :P

Bye Jimmeh! Thanks for the good performances, the fond memories and the laughs. Shame you had to piss off in what looks a rather underhand way.

Good luck.

I always liked Kebe. Such a good player to watch when on form. The reason he stayed with Reading so long was he was often injured. Other teams would not take the risk. But I would like to know how much money he went for?
