One8Seven1 Massive thanks has to go to Yeovil who moved all the Reading fans (that they were aware of) into the corner of the Augusta Stand.

I love how this sort of thing shows a level of corporate humanity, great to hear how they dealt with it.

If you thought Yeovil have gate management issues spare a thought for most League 1 clubs entertaining Wolves at home this season!

The Real Sandhurst Royal OK MB....Looking at Google Map’s you have an option to do the following should the traffic be bad and backed up to Solstice Park:

Leave at the Solstice Park junction and head north to Burford, and turn westbound onto Larkhill Road across the A345 to The Packway through Larkhill and pick up the (B3086) back to the A360 to rejoin the A303 or you can continue on The Larkway to Shrewton(B3086) and onto (B3083) Winterbourne Stoke to rejoin the A303.

Just for future reference, I came off the A303 at the Solstice Park and drove through Amesbury town centre one way and back out again on Stonehenge Road and rejoined the A303 at the top of the hill near Stonehenge itself where 2 lanes merge into one, Reckon I saved at least half an hour of bumper to bumper.

Good tip for anyone driving down to the SW along the A303.

Friendly bunch of stewards inside the ground, and friendly car-park attendant who at least tried to keep us informed as to why we were being held up for so long.

Nice to see Sean Morrison chilling out on the grass in the car park chatting to some fans while we were waiting to get out

Excellent. Will try that next week when, for the 3rd Saturday in a row, I'll be headed SW on the A303. Thanks RSR.

Wasn't too bad coming back yesterday. Made it home to Wokkers by 7 30pm.

One8Seven1 Massive thanks has to go to Yeovil who moved all the Reading fans (that they were aware of) into the corner of the Augusta Stand. It was a little dodgy though thanks to one moany old bastard in the back row who was hell bent on getting Reading fans kicked out, and who only made me cheer louder when I had something to shout about. You could feel the home fans, who were in general quite nice, but you could feel they were just waiting for that opportunity to turn our way and gloat if they got that goal that felt like it was coming. Luckily we got it, and I couldn't help but go mental. Disappointingly I was about the only Reading fan to celebrate; the rest just clapped quickly and stayed quiet. I wasn't having any of that! The old git at the back leaned in as he left, me half expecting him to start an argument, then he complained Le Fondre dived and was a disgrace and we should be ashamed.

Nice little ground, nice enough people minus the one dipstick, great for parking right outside the ground and for nothing, but a shit drive past Stonehenge. Shame we couldn't hear the away end much due to no roof.

So basically you were Mr Billy Big Bollox in the home end making it clear you supported Reading? No wonder the bloke was fcuked off - I would be too.

I would at least have the decency to keep my gob shut if I'd purchased a ticket in the wrong end. That's kinda the unwritten rule. Since when did we become so arrogant? We ain't scousers.

As was Alex McCarthy who came up into the hospitality area to renew old acquaintances. Everyone I spoke to could not speak highly enough of him as a player and as a credit to his parents and his football club.
They seemed to have the same sort of pride in his achievements as though he was one of their own. ( a bit like us and Matty Upson I think)

Not at all, the football club were happy for us to be there and moved us to the corner to be together, and I like to cheer the team on, so I wasn't going to be made to feel like I shouldn't have a shout when I wanted to, by a couple of disagreeing farmy types.

Fair play it was decent in there. Good banter with the barstaff, particularly the buxom one.

Alas I only stuck around for 1 - headed off to a proper old man's boozer up the road (Pall Tavern) which had everything you want from a good boozer....decent cider, batty pissed up locals, a ropey looking barmaid with MASSIVE norks...
