TBM lol @ paying that much for a player that was being boo'd by his own set of fans a few years back - with calls for him to be given a free transfer

Handsome Man £85 million for Bale seems a lot, but £100 million on the players Spurs have bought to replace him just seems mental.

Does the deal include the patent on his celebration?

frimmers3 the money spurs have spent has not been funded by the bale sale....levy has been very astute.

Sanguine Emerging that the FA hae opened the door to Liverpool's new signing Tiago Ilori playing for England. He was born in London to a Portugese family, and soon returned home, has represented Portugal at youth levels. If he proves good enough, would you want him playing for England?

Sanguine That man makes me so depressed I'd forgotten all about him.
Still, he had English parent(s), an English name, and had spent some years in the UK. Ilori was just born here, and is essentially Portugese.
I'd go for it, just interested how people would feel if the likes of Smalling/Jones/Kelly missed out on developing in the England side for the sake of Ilori.
