Just because we've yet to announce any further signings doesn't mean we haven't been working on any, or that there isn't one lined up to be announced shortly.

We knew about Mapps leaving early this morning, but neither club announced anything until much later in the day, so perhaps a deal is already done? Maybe we're waiting for Stoke to get their man before they will give us ours? Maybe just like the Bale saga we've been negotiating a deal with an agent/club for weeks ready to be announced today?

Most, if not all, successful managers state that you need to have 4 four decent strikers and four decent centre backs if you want to stand a decent chance of success. Once again it is looking increasingly likely that this good advice has been completely ignored by the owner, chairman and DOF.
