Paris Saint-Germain have announced on their official website that Mohamed Sissoko has left the club with immediate effect.

The Mali international had a contract with PSG until the summer of 2014, but both parties have agreed to terminate his existing deal in order to allow him to join another club outside of the transfer window.

"Paris Saint-Germain and Mohamed Sissoko have reached an agreement about the termination of their existing contract, making the player available for a contract with another European club," an official club statement reads.

The 28-year-old midfielder joined PSG from Juventus in the summer of 2011 and had since made 28 Ligue 1 appearances for the club.

Sissoko spent the second half of last season on loan at Fiorentina and has now left PSG on a permanent basis as he aims to relaunch his career elsewhere.
