TBM
Silver Fox Am I the only person on here who can read English and understands that "may continue" means "are allowed to continue" as he's out of contract and not "might continue" if the club cann be bothered?

But now will loads of other clubs - don't be surprised if Palace and Ian the pcunt Holloway suddenly come in for him

When do Premier League sides have to nominate their 25 man squad?

Indeed.

This one seemed a bit further down the line though. I wonder exactly where it fell down. I would imagine, if he's sat at the Madejski, the club are already aware of his wage demands.

I guess, from the statement, we made him an offer and he's used the publicity from his appointment with us to see what else was out there.

Just a thought but can't help but think this is a 'you scratch my back I'll scratch yours' scenario created by the agent.

He has Sissoko on his books unwanted by PSG wanting to move away so approaches RFC and asks them to flaunt him around the hotel for a couple of days, conduct a meeting with NH in the hotel allowing him to be photographed by anyone there, then have a closed door meeting late at night on a ground floor room with an open window thus 'showing negotiations by the club' but also announcing his availability to the rest of Europe.

Maybe a token loan deal to RFC for a player on his books as a thank you.

Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic would do, both striker and cb department sorted.

Still reckon we need a decent CAM to really challenge for the playoffs though.

CountryRoyal Guys you don't honestly think this is going to happen do you?

Sissoko would walk into most PL teams as a CDM.

Can't fault the Manager for talking to very good released players. However, only one in 50 will sign for us. This is a smokescreen for the lack of investment to make us Promotion favourites. Nor will any loans really make a difference. Should we get promoted this season it will be luck and management much more than sensible dealings in the Market. We never learn whilst other teams learn straight away. Look at West Sham, Southampton, Swansea, Cardiff, Palace etc. Some may still get relegated but, at least, THEY GAVE THEMSELVES A CHANCE!

The Championship now is getting as competitive as the Prem. We could have cherry-picked the best players, using our better financial clout. Rhodes, Ince, whoever, built a real undoubted Promotion-favourites team and gone back up. Whatever we spent would be trippled by going up again and our team would be much-strengthened anyway. But that is what sensible Management/Owners do. We are stuck with liars!

1) so why hasn't he?
2) so why was he in talks with us?
3) so why hasn't the club said the deal is off?

You're not serious are you? What have PSG gained out of this by cancelling his contract? Get real with it. The thing that has happened here is that the agent and Momo have asked for more than we're willing to give and the deal has fallen through. The fact that he's now a free agent means that other clubs are becoming clued in to his availability and the chances of us securing his signature are remote at best. If a club (QPR anyone?) come in and say "£60,000 a week? Sure. Want anything else with that?" then he's off to them. If they don't, then he may decide that settling for Reading's £600 a week isn't so bad after all.
