ManchesterRoyals Funny when we were in the premiership we still weren't able to attract new players then.

Just saying

We were near certain relegation fodder and players decided they were better off going to a club not so obviously doomed in the summer. Either that or Spurs failed to sign someone.

Last summer window was a totally different kettle of fish. As were the previous PL transfer windows we had.

But if you want to push an agenda, don't let that stand in your way.

Petric was a free agent during the window was he not ?? why didn't we go for him then, West Hams need wasn't as great then, we just dilly dally around to do the deals by the time we come up with an offer the player has buggered off somewhere else, as per usual.

Who said we didn't. As a free agent he could afford to wait as the window wasn't an issue for him.

C Palace ... and I don't have an agenda.
Just Saying.

I think we don't really attract the players the majority of the fans want us to at any time, and it could well be due to finance.
Personally I'm happy to allow the people who have made this club much more than it was 30 years ago carry on, especially when I don't have any influence.
However - I think ManchesterRoyals has a point in this instance.

Palace are in the PL and despite what many may think about their chances, you can't really be relegation certainties at this point.

Unless you're talking about Zaha last summer, in which case it was obvious he could hang on and get a better deal at a later date.

He didn't get a pre-season... They said when he joined he would need a few weeks to get up to speed.
