One8Seven1 So he's actually a long way off a return according to RFC.

OLLIE KEARNS What I like about that quote is the comments about Leigertwood. Most of us considered him as a major signing when we converted his loan to a permanent contract and he didn't let us down. Yes, he struggled in the premier league but that isn't a crime, many players can't overcome the great divide. He is everything you'd want in a championship level midfielder and I only hope he can return and deliver the level of performance that we've seen from him in the 2 years prior to the prem. The very best of luck to him !

One8Seven1 He will never make a full recovery, and he knows it.

Is this based on knowledge or assumption ? Would just be interesting to know what you know.
Can't see why a pay off would be involved. If he can't play then he'll retire and claim on his insurance, if he let's his contract run down then he won't get a payout. No reason for us to advance him any money really.

Whilst I wont put the chap down, I can't help suspect they'll talk his return up as meaning we no longer need another CDM/CM (not that I agreed we needed another anyway, but trying to bring in Sissoko suggests someone at the club wanted one). I can see Pog's 'fresh start' being used as a justifiable reason for not needing another striker as well. Perhaps I'm just too suspicious..

andrew1957 He sounded like a player who knew he would never play again on BBCRB after the match. He defelcted all Dellor's questions and it did not sound promising. Kept saying "well I am 35 now". I will be suprised if we see him in a Reading shirt until perhaps a farewell apperance at the end of the season after we are out of contention for the play offs.
