Silver Fox
Will95 as long as we don't adopt the guy at the front orchestrating the chants I am all for it.

But he improves the all important atmosphere more than someone letting off a smoke bomb surely?

and if he's annoying then you've got a target for your smokebomb to be aimed at.

Our home atmosphere has been decent this year. Away though? I do virtually every game and I cannot give any credit to our travelling support.

East Stand Ste

I do start chants, stand and sing and what do I get 90% of the time? 'Sit down' or something like that. Do I continue? Yes. Does it improve the atmosphere? No. People, especially at our club, are not interested in standing or making noise.

Y25

The stewards have been decent for a good 18 months plus now in Y25 and Y26, and very few people tell anyone to sit down. In any case, the home atmosphere has been decent this season, and was also last season even though we rarely had anything to sing about.

Readingfanman I've got no idea how a flare which has never been around in England can be claimed to be claiming back lost atmosphere. If you want to improve the atmosphere, start chants, stand up and make noise. If people don't join in, carry on anyway.

Spot on. And people do join in if they know you will sing non stop.

I think you must sit in a very quiet area of the ground. Y25/Y26 you can stand pretty freely without anyone bothering you now.

See my above comment. I technically sit in Y20, but I stand in Y25 every game.

So idiots like you are the reason the stewards were checking fans season tickets today in the East Stand, trying to stop people like you sitting in the wrong section. Thanks to the likes of you, the stewarding was overzealous and they were making fans sit down where they would normally let it go, as they weren't familiar with that part of the stand where other stewards were and have built up a fair understanding with the fans. Nice one!

Indeed a fair point, but still no excuse for the pathetic OTT puritan stewards out in force today. There were many spare seats in all blocks.. and even if they had a job to do they could have done it without being so rude.

A game with a smaller crowd is surely ideal to make the point that you can't wander round the ground and sit where you like. With 18k there instead of 24k it's 25% fewer people to disrupt.

They've let fans stand where I do all of last season and this season so far. It's either a sudden change to the stewarding or they were looking for someone. Fans were also still stood there today, even with a steward stood next to them.

Not really, I have a season ticket with my family as I have for years but like to be in Y25. As I know that I can go to Y25 if I wish, but it is not possible to sit with my family for the games I choose to if I have a ticket in Y25, I do things this way around.

It's been made fairly clear in the other thread they were looking for someone. So I guess us 'idiots' haven't really caused much of a problem (assuming people are correct).

People need to just let people enjoy themselves. In thousands of uses there's been very few incidents, the FA's, government and others need to realise this. Piss off to some other part of the ground if you don't like it.

I don't do it as I love to travel and watch the football and wouldn't risk these things by doing it, but if it was legal would I? Occasionally yes, and I believe people should have the freedom to have that choice.

Also, 6-year bans for pyro, 3-year bans for racism, please, explain this to me?

Racism never killed anyone...

If you take that comment seriously, then you're an absolute clown
