Re: Dim Tellor Twitter Rant

I know the language skills of contributors to this forum on a level of one to 10, is about one. I asked a valid question and received replies that explain nothing.

Leon do you think1) Tim Dellor is bad at his job. 2) Nigel Adkins is doing a good job 3)The Russian , AZ, is doing a good job.
4) Reading Football Club is being honest with the fans , when it has been stated that 7 or 8 players WOULD be signed 5)The Pog is behaving in a proper manner. 5) Jason Roberts is being fair to his main employer, ie Reading Football Club. This basically covers what I said in my previous posting.

I would say Tim Dellor is very good at his job, but like everyone he has certain lines he cannot pass if he wishes to stay in gainful employment. I may think my boss is a prize *unt and liar ,but if I call him these names I will be looking for a new job.

Nigel Adkins has made mistakes I am sure he would be the first to admit it. Bearing in mind the players he has under his command he has done well.

The invisible Russian ,ZA seems to have disappeared from the scene, certainly hope these stories about him having to find a wad of money in two weeks are not true.

Reading FC certainly lied about bringing in new players. No club can have so many problems as we do trying to sign players.

The Pog may be suffering from depression as we do not play to his supposed strengths, what they are is difficult to see. His sending off yesterday whether it was a correct decision or incorrect decision by the ref is beside the point , he had already received a yellow card so to even fall over was asking for trouble. I do not believe that many clubs were interested in him, if they were they probably offered him half the wages he cons out of RFC. So he decided to stay put, collect a large salary for doing nothing.

Jason Roberts someone is telling porkies,he says he will be back in weeks the club say in months, on this occasion I believe the club. Let us assume he is fit by Christmas, it will take him at least 6-7 games to get up to speed. which means he will have contributed nothing for a year , but will have been paid a million pounds. Oh sorry , I forgot he contributes so much at the training ground and in the dressing room, perhaps if he turned up at matches he might be able to help further, the team certainly needs help from somewhere on matchdays . Instead he earns another good wedge pontificating about football for the media.

Those were the points I was trying to make in my previous posting. I think it is a fair appraisal of the current situation, so do not consider myself an eccentric, whether I have supernatural powers , I think not. What I do have is a good understanding of business and an even greater understanding and love for Reading Football Club after supporting them for fiftyseven years.

Your original post was doom laden with levels of paranoia. Utterly unwarranted. As are your attacks on player under contract who are currently injured. (We should be able to cancel players contracts if they get injured?)

Your final comment "At this rate RFC will be playing in an empty stadium in Division 1." perfectly sums up your level of hysteria. This was what I was commenting on.

Royal Lady You all leave Timbo alone - he's a passionate RFC fan and he does a great job. :x

What I DIDN'T like, was Adkins sarcastic little comments when TD enquired about us being light in some areas and having a lot of cover in others - he asked him "which positions would that be?" like he AND WE don't bloody know. And he chanted the old mantra about working with what we've got and more or less gave the impression we'd be lucky if we signed anyone on loan.......

In Adkin's defence, pointing out which players aren't good enough isn't going to help their confidence or boost team morale. We all know where we're light.

Of course you can take your head out of the sand long enough to realise that those clubs haven't had the same experience in each of the last 6 transfer windows.

But acknowledging that we are very light in terms of cover/strength of depth when it comes to central defenders and strikers wouldn't have hurt anyone. Even the most stupid footballer on our books must have realised that anyway, so it wouldn't come as a surprise (and would probably be a relief) to hear their manager say that.

I preferred the short, sharp insults tbh :(

What I would say about someone like Roberts is that if you were absent from your job - 'ill' or otherwise - for 12 months then your employers would be at liberty to take steps towards having you dismissed (provided they follow the correct procedures for doing so).

Tim Dellor'd do well to look at the Premier League table the next time he congratulates himself over Rodgers like most of you idiots. He'd then do well to look at Adkins' record and remind himself that you can't change from playing long-ball, turgid, offensive on the eye football overnight.

Unusually I agree with the sentiment here, but the probolem with Rodgers is that we were a team looking like being relegated (even at that stage of November) and so action had to be taken. Under Adkins things are not so bad and we are looking like a mid table team.

Personally that is not a problem for as long I can see that things are moving in the right direction. Changing the entire philosophy around the playing style at a club is a long term project especially when the core of the team played under the old style. I believe that Adkins will get there and that we will see the results but it will take time.

This post was made by Royalee who is currently on your ignore list. No need to display this post because we all know it'll be something about Timbo making poor wickle Brendan cry and forcing Madejski to sack him.

In Adkin's defence, pointing out which players aren't good enough isn't going to help their confidence or boost team morale. We all know where we're light.

Tim referred specifically to only have 2 strikers to choose from, only have 3 centre halves and only having one left footed LB - not saying the ones we have are shit, just pointing out that our cover in certain areas is a bit suspect - but NA's reply was a bit sarcastic for my liking - as I already said.

I understand that, but by agreeing he would be admitting he has no faith in the squad and youth players. In my opinion it would be bad management to have agreed.

But in no shape or form is acknowledging that we lack the required strength in depth suggesting he has no faith in the players that he has. It is doing exactly what it says on the tin i.e. stating that we do not have sufficient numbers of good players in some specialist positions. I am sure that Pog, ALF and Blackman are bright enough to realise that if one or more of them is injured/suspended we are left desperately short of experienced cover - likewise Pearce, Morrison and KG.

He really wouldn't. He'd just be agreeing with what everyone else knows! How many left footed Left Backs do we have? One. What happens if Pearce is suspended and Morrison is injured? We have Gorkks and that's it - sure we have youth team players but is that REALLY what a club want? Of course, if NA agreed with Dellor and us, he'd be leaving himself wide open to have to say why he hasn't filled these blanks - and that, in turn, would mean he'd have to criticise the board - and he won't do that, until he's ready to move on. Fact is, whatever the reasons, whether it be lack of money or lack of interest in anyone wanting to come here, we are short of cover in a few positions and have a load of midfielders who can't get a game. For anyone to deny this, is just mental. (I'm looking at you Melonhead)
