No Fixed Abode
melonhead id prefer kelly played on his correct side, and bridge on the left. his best side.

But is Cummings fit to play? The Club extended his contract but both McDonut and Adkins don't seem to r8 him. So unsure why they gave him another contract.
young.got potential. but cant play on left , and not as good defensively as kelly, or offensively as gunter
i think they want to have 4 FBs, and if they cant have 2 leftys, and 2 rightys, this is the next best option.

cummings was very good at this level last time out- especially from where he started that preseason. imo

Kelly, Feds, Gorkks, HRK, Williams, Blackman, Obita

Tempted to play three in the centre of mid just to confuse Brian.

He's got to be one of the best right backs in the country who are happy to hang around without even getting on the bench regularly. He can't be on much and is excellent cover. Glad he's still at the club.

100% agree. Saves me posting it myself.

Would like to see Drenthe down the middle in front of Guthrie. Less blind allies to run down and Jobi and Mcleary will track back more.

Pretty much this for me, although I'd be tempted with Blackman instead of Le Fondre just because Le Fondre is better coming off the bench and they're equalling ineffective starting. We may as well be able to improve the side with Le Fondre coming on rather than just having two ineffective performances. The alternative would be Robson-Kanu up there in their place. I'm not a fan of playing him right up front but he could still be our best option there.

Kelly for Gunter at right back for me, but I can't see that happening whilst we want our fullbacks to bomb on as we do.

Is McLeary available though? There was some reason he wasn't involved on Sunday wasn't there?

It doesn't matter what formation we adopt, Brian will win the tactical battle.

moron.

brian played many different formations, and well.

just as coppell did before him

its just when they go, it seems to be fine to just make shit up about them being tactically poor

Not losing is essential. if it were me I would keep ALF and Blackman on the bench in case things go pear shaped and have HRK up front in a 4-3-2-1
Would drop Drenthe after Saturday.

McCarthy
Gunter - Morrison- Pearce- Bridge
Guthrie - Karacan - Williams
McCleary - McAnuff
HRK

----------------------McCarthy-----------------------
Kelly----------Pearce---------Morrison-------Bridge
-----------------------Guthrie------------------------
McAnuff-------------------------------------McCleary
------------Drenthe-----------Williams--------------
---------------------Le Fondre-----------------------

Drenthe and Williams BOTH in attacking CM positions behind the striker. On Sunday we had no creativity in the centre of Midfield when going forward and relied on the wings FAR too much, which wasn't working because we had nobody who could win a header.

Ball on the floor, free flowing style please with plenty of movement - focus passing through the middle. Allow Drenthe and Williams to shoot on sight too.

BBC seem pretty sure Blackman will get the nod

BBC Reading will be without striker Pavel Pogrebnyak, who serves a one-game ban after his sending-off against Brighton.
Nick Blackman will replace him, while left-back Wayne Bridge could start after recovering from a knee problem.

Not losing isn't essential. It's essential to fans who want to get one-up on McDermott but if we lose tonight it's not exactly the end of the season, is it?

if it resulted in unrest amongst the fan base that affected the team it could be essential to avoid imo

Lose tonight and see where we will be in table. It will be a disaster. Not only drifting well behind but also from a confidence point of view. If we cant win our home games against average teams and there's little chance of strengthening, this season will have gone!
