Will95
loyalroyaldaz And there is sod all to stop you going in at Y20 and walking along the stand to Y25 so again pointless and this crap about being the best timw to do it when its a smaller crowd !!
Surely when its a sell out then you couldnt change seats anyway and does it really matter if you change seat so long as you are not not taking somebody elses ?
I have sat in the same aeat every game since the Mad Stad opened and people around me do it all the time.

As I said in the 'pyro' thread it's not to do with people moving about, people who move to Y25/26 don't take people's seats, they stand on the concrete at the back, the stewards know this and don't mind, they stand next to them and in fact can occasionally engage in friendly conversation. This was the same on Sunday, the stewards did not mind people being stood there and it was clearly obvious people being in the wrong seats was not the issue they were trying to resolve.

Ah so it's pcunts like you who stand in the way of my seat in the back row then!

The steward I asked about it said that this was something they would be looking to do for most games going forwards. Apparently due to a large number of people having seats at the north end of the east and then migrating down (and taking other's actual seats) during the game/HT and causing problems with by doing so. This is something they will be monitoring on the cameras now as well to stop people, and has been discussed at their steward's review meetings.

Also, he was saying that an increasing number of people are standing at the front of the stand, and whilst the club are more lenient on standing at the very back of the stand, they are having to enforce people to sit at the front who are standing during the game

If there are empty seat why not let people move. If someone was sitting there and they don't move when asked then they are oxf*rd and will get moved/chucked out.

Oh dear. Waste of time as you can walk down the East in the seats if you really want to. If people are stood in front of 'our' seats (no one appears to use them anyway) we just find the nearest gap. No hassle, no problem. If people really want to sit in peace they should simply go elsewhere other than the back half of Y25/26...

Would rather the club saved the wages of the 20 or so people hired to waste this time, or better still stick em behind the bar!

Was anyone else suprised by the lack of Police last night? You would normally expect some sort of Police presence for 3k Leeds fans!! Didn't see anything happen but outside the away end I only saw Tango's.

Stewarding was more relaxed last night however. Made for a better atmosphere. I assume stewarding was so tight for the Brighton game to try to prevent homophobic chanting? Didn't work if so.

Leeds brought their own stewards with them last night although they weren't anticipating any trouble. There was no need for a police presence.

The stewards in the East last night just said they were doing random checks rather than doing everyone's card. A lot more relaxed, and no big bottlenecks round the concourse exits

I was surprised at the lack of police especially as this was the first game following the Gala partnership. Much better atmosphere as a consequence.

Didn't hear any antagonistic songs either about Gala.

Yes, given the way they often go completely OTT with smaller, far less troublesome, clubs, i was staggered by the absence of police and screening barriers in front of the turnstiles.

Perhaps Anton can't afford to pay for police.

For all the benefit the partnership has brought us (can't we even borrow a striker from them?!), we might have got more out of partnering with the bingo chain.

Not sure what your definition of random is but everyone was having their ticket checked a few minutes before kick off. Didn't happen at half time though so whatever they were trying to achieve seemed to be only half done last night.

Like to know where people have complained about people being in their seats as i've never seen it.

By the time we drink up and ascend those fúcking stairs there are already people stood in front of 'our seats', and every hence time we stand in front of 'someone elses'. Neither complained, nor received one in return - and really don't see the problem over a bits of plastic with numbers on which don't get used.

It's so the powers that be know who's sitting there. You could be behaving badly and someone else gets blamed

Something like that................................

I'm not sure individual stewards give a tinker's cuss who is sitting where. But one of the ground regulations is that people sit in specified seats, and there's an external pressure coming from RBC & the SGSA (nee FLA) to ensure that this ground regulation is enforced .. or rather to demonstrate that the club is doing all they can to enforce it.

Like the drives to enforce seating in the past, I'm sure that after a few weeks this'll be scaled back and a more informal approach will apply again - once RFC have been seen to do what they're told about this "problem" and the message has got across to people.

The council send people secretly to make sure RFC are abiding by appropriate rules.

Not sure it's that secret - they sit in the control box and watch what happens.

They aren't in the control box all the time.
