Who?

That's a bit pathetic.

I'll go for what?

1. Diving
2. Players waving imaginary cards at the ref
3. Marking the goalkeeper at corners
4. One-footed players
5. John Terry

Irritates me that teams do it. Irritates me that teams don't get penalised for it. It's pretty blatant obstruction.

1. How it's gone all mainstream.

2. Unimaginative new build stadiums with little thought of adding much character to them.

3. Premier League/Champions League solely being about pure Greed.

4. England's FA still looking down on their loyal subjects from their Ivory Towers nearly 50 years after the national team's only tournament victory and still the old farts are arrogant enough not to want to change anything.

5. Luis Suarez

6. Scotland

7. Argentina

8. The corruption

9. Faux sentiment

10. Seeing exactly the same players in the big international tournament latter stages as the Champions League latter stages only wearing different coloured jerseys.

11. Only clubs in large metropolitan areas ever winning anything, the days of skilful management and team building that leads to success for a provincial club are long gone.

How is it different to marking any other player?

We do it on a Sunday morning and we also use the american football tactic whereby one of our players will block the run of the defender marking our best header of the ball, so he gets a free run to head it.

But if that tactic is blatant, you'll get penalised for it. If the ref watches you bodycheck an opponent so he can't get to the ball, he'll award the other team a free-kick.

Players are literally just getting in the keepers' way, that's obstruction.

I would counter by saying I hate how much protection 'keepers get. You can't even challenge for the ball if the keeper is involved anymore.

I hate that too. I don't think you correct one with the other.

Let attackers challenge the keeper like they would challenge for a header; equally, don't let attackers literally stop the keeper from moving towards the ball.

No its not - if you're standing your ground then the keeper has to find a way to get round you

That's exactly the point. :|

Attacking players don't stand their ground, they move so as to impede the keeper.

and what about defenders who "shield" the ball when its running out of play, stopping the attacker from getting round them and to the ball?

Reading Football Club. They are almost always complete and utter horse-mince and they've been taking up a disproportion8 amount of my time and money for far too long now

Defenders shepherding the ball out.

My biggest gripe ..... most of the time its simple obstruction/body-checking FFS
