Adkins' dream Reading side, using players from his managerial career only (i.e. I can't be bothered to think about whether Osborne was better than Guthrie or Fozzy better than Long):

McCarthy (13/14)- weaker distribution than 11/12 Feds, but a better goalkeeper
S. Kelly- the only one of our many right backs who looked comfortable in the PL
Bikey (08-09)- excellent passer as well as a great defender
Zurab (09-10)- would cover Bikey's weaknesses whilst also being comfortable on the ball
Shorey (06-07)- probably the best left back in the country that year, brilliant passer, got forward well
Guthrie (13-14)- the system is basically built around him
Sidwell (06-07)- a bit of steel, good bursts forward to support the lone striker
Little (06-07)- master crosser, and simply better than Kebe
Gylfi- nuff sed
McAnuff (09-10)- complements Gylfi well, and would fit in with Kitson
Kitson (07-08)- closest Lambert equivalent. Two good feet, strong in the air. Would create for Gylfi as well as sticking away plenty of his own.

Subs: Federici (sorry Marcus), Rosenior, Pearce, Harper, Kebe, Doyle, Long (sorry Roberts)

Top half PL team until Little and Kitson get injured and Bikey gets suspended.
