I'm assuming that Bridge, Williams, Drenthe and McAnuff are all likely to be back fit.

...............McCarthy
..Kelly..Morrison..Pearce..Bridge
....Williams..Guthrie..Baird
Drenthe...........................HRK
..............Pogrebnyak

Subs: Federici, Gunter, Gorkss, McAnuff, McCleary, ALF, Blackman

Really tough choices here. I'd be equally as happy with somthing like this as I really would like to see McAnuff and ALF in there somewhere. Same for Drenthe, although it would be nearly criminal to drop HRK for anyone after Derby:

...............McCarthy
..Kelly..Morrison..Pearce..Bridge
.......Baird..Guthrie.....McAnuff
Drenthe.....................ALF
..............Pogrebnyak

Why the oxf*rd would you play Feds over McCarthy?

Feds is a quality goalkeeper, but McCarthy has been awesome for ages and is a future England Number 1

Given Nigel always surprises us, I'll go for:

Le Fondre

Pog
HRK
Akpan
Williams

Blackman
Federici

Gorkss
Cummings
Baird

Tshibola

And still be as right as anyone else.

HRK is shit and will always be shit. Go with our perceived strongest side and get them playing as reg as possible and start building some momentum.

Assuming Bridge is fit it will be interesting to see who is picked out of Kelly vs Gunter.
Bearing in mind the pacy Lingard got 4 goals in their last game, the Kelly, Bridge, Morro, Pearce foursome may prove to be too slow.

If neither Gunter or Karacan are playing which starters can we honestly expect to still be tearing around come the 80th minute?
Karacan's injury may well keep Gunter in the first 11, we will see.

Would also be extremely harsh to drop Obita out the squad altogether, as some of you have suggested.

We really do have a strong squad considering that Roberts, Legs and Karacan are out injured and we have some very good youngsters coming through. Starting to feel optimistic....

I love the guy, but can anyone please explain what Drenthe has done in the last 3 or 4 games to justify starting above Obita/McCleary/McAuff?

McCleary, Kanu, Obita, Drenthe, McAnuff, Guthrie, Baird, Williams, Akpan, Karacan

That's a seriously strong midfield squad.

==========McCarthy============

Kelly==Pearce==Morrinson==Bridge

=========Guthrie===Baird==========

McCleary=====Williams========Drenthe

============Pog====================

Federici, Gorkks, Gunter, Akpan, HRK, Le Fondre, Blackman

-Is the type of player you pay money to watch.
