UpThePrem It won't affect the end of the loan period other than the fact it will take us to Dec 29th which is the last game before the transfer window re-opens. It will affect the fact he can play on Saturday. Benefit at start and finish.
At last - someone that knows a bit about the loan process and the all-important Christmas period, leading up to the next transfer window.

As I understand it, we sign him on Friday he is then available to play for us on loan until just after Christmas. We can then sign him permanently for c£1.2M and he is ours from just before the New Year.
This all depends on Cortese who is being awkward over the deal.
I don't get all this talk of maximum 3 month contract. How did we sign Baird on a 4 month contract until January? I must admit I thought 93 days was the maximum.
