Exactly. And having let us down at that point (only he truly knows how injured he was at various points during his career with us) he could no longer be relied on to be a key player for us. Therefore IMO his departure this season was no great loss. Rather have a slightly less talented but far more robust/reliable player in his place.

According to one of the papers today. Failed to come up with the rest of the money to buyout the club...Although it is only paper talk for now.

If true would kind of put a mockery in the Fit and Proper tests the Premier League did

But they conveniently ignore that the club have said both parties are happy and the buy-out will go ahead as planned, albeit later than was planned. There's no point getting all worked up when there may be nothing wrong at all. It is though a wee bit concerning that they've had this date in mind for a long time now, but can't come up with the money when it matters. It does raise even more questions about how much money they have behind them, but lets ask those questions in a couple of months if the takeover is still waiting to happen.

I don't think it is quite so proscriptive. Yeung and Gaydamak passed it.

Theory?? Last occasion seemed pretty much fact judging by what Adkins had to say.

Other facts: Kebe picked up far more injuries than most other players. Compared to most players, he was very slow to recover from his injuries and often encountered 'set backs'. He was often missing due to injury when the team/club had hit tough times and people needed to stand up and be counted.

Injury prone player in getting injured shocker. Reading fans in being massively fickle shocker.

I'd love to know what constitutes a 'Fans Backlash' at Reading these days. Perhaps a collective 'tut' from the Lower West. Some of our supporters are so sycophantic that if Anton Zingarevich drove round to their houses and dumped a ton of manure in their front gardens they'd simply put their Reading shirts on, sit on top of the mound of sh*t and tweet a 'thumbs up' pic to @ReadingFC

Not like the good old days when at the merest provocation we'd invade the pitch, chant for Quinn or Bullivant out, wait for Uri Gellar to speak to us via loud hailer and then, erm, amble around a bit before going home :|

Total non-story. Did anything change from this non-event happening, will it change anything at all? No. We move on.

Thank you very much for that posting and I can now sleep at night not worrying that the supposedly wealthy Russian with deep pockets cannot come up with a few quid to buy our club outright despite having over a year to save up.

Having played golf with a Pompey fan yesterday, who lamented that their problems all started with Russian involvement at their club when they were in the Premier League and now they are heading towards the Conference,I was worried that the same could happen to us but now my worrying is over.
Thanks again.

Well, that's bollocks, because the problem started with Mandaric at Pompey.

Anyone remember singing "Where's the money gone?" after the 1-3 at home to Sheffield Utd? Maybe we should bring it back.
