Maguire This board is going to be LOL if it all falls through.

As long as we can still get a team out on the pitch then I, for one, welcome our new Saudi overlords.

Right idea wrong country. think of somewhere similar but much smaller.

Wales?

winchester_royal How did TSI pass the PL f&pp test?

Got tips from Shinawatra?

winchester_royal Why look into a new training ground? Where did the money for the late Gylf bid come from?

Because neither involved parting with cash?

winchester_royal They don't seem like the moves of a man acting as a front for fraudulent activity. They appear to me to be the actions of a naive yet ambitious young man with a clear idea of the path he wants the club to head down.

That's the thing about fraudsters...

It's gradually being strengthened, I'm confident its a lot stronger since Shinawatra - although whether it's now strong enough to have blocked him I wouldn't want to comment. It's still pretty easy to get round I'm sure.

Sorry, but I just don't buy this. Buying a football club is just about the worst idea any fraudster can come up with, given the amount of media scrutiny placed on the industry and the fact that most clubs make a loss.

I can go along with the idea that Anton wanted a play toy, underestimated the costs, and daddy is refusing to stump up the cash to cover them. This bizarre idea that Anton TSI are a front for money laundering is several steps too far for even this forum.

Out of curiosity I had a look last night at Ener1 are up to. Who the Zingarevichs rescued from bankruptcy last year.

Seems they are on the way back from the brink under the private ownership of Mr Zingarevich.

Well, it's certainly never happened before has it?

That's my take

However, Samuelson seems a strange choice of nanny

I have. Not sure I see the relevance here though. Maybe I missed the RFC fire sale that's taken place over the last 2 years.

Barry the bird boggler So why are the local media (BBC Berkshire, Evening Post etc.) not banging on John Madejski's, Nigel Howe's, Anton Zingarevich's or Chris Samuelson's door asking them to clarify exactly what the situation is once and for all?

Answer, because this is all a load of cobblers with only rumours being printed to sensationalism's sake

Either way we shall see by January and the start of the window........

To answer your question, because they hardly employ brave, top rate, investigative journalists. Furthermore, both organisations seem far more concerned about maintaining their cozy relationship with RFC (why they do not realise that RFC are actually quite dependent on what should be a symbiotic relationship is beyond me!) and live in fear of the likes of CMZ.

That having been said, I still suspect there is a lot of smoke without too much fire burning underneath at present.

2 world wars, 1 world cup Reliable posters who defend the club and who don't believe in conspiracy theories are now coming out saying they have serious doubts.

And posters like me who have been very critical of the club and Madejski are now coming out saying chill out. What's HNA coming to?

It is, indeed, a very strange situation that we find ourselves in! But then those who are now panicking did spend years listening to horror stories from JM about all the nasty people involved in football and what would happen if we ever deviated from 'The Madejski/Reading Way'!

LOL @ a photo of handshake with a brown guy + a delay in the transfer of funds + opinions of a couple blokes down pubs = everything is oxf*rd up, Madejski has been duped, we're selling to some ragheads etc.

1) Sir John is one of the shrewdest most careful men in business for a start.
2) Even buying a £500k house is full of problems at exchange for people who have the cash, let alone exchanging with £12million
3) The club has ploughed on and put lots into cat1 etc. this doesn't seem like a club about to fold.

Anyone wanting to buy this club would see it as a very well run club with lots of opportunity and would be mad to dismantle it anyway.

Whether we have ragheads or Russians, we'll be fine I'm sure.

Dont think that view holds much water these days
