Extended-Phenotype Ref should stop the game?

Team losing badly, fans just get all racist. Game stopped, draw.

Not should, can.

It's part of Law 5 and backed up by a UEFA Executive Comittee resolution from 2009.

I can dig it out now, or I can dig it out of the 'coaching course stuff that I'm never going to use again' box in my bedroom's wall of boxes.

(Actually, I found it - http://www.uefa.org/socialresponsibilit ... 43681.html, and http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/footballd ... 90832.html )

I can also dig out the correct paperwork to arrange a FA approved fund raising barbeque/summer fair for an amateur club. That was a particularly enthralling 30 minute group session.

I appreciate they can. Just saying they probably shouldn't.

If a ref stops a game, does it always end in a draw? Pretend I'm not interested in reading through shit loads of links and documents.

I think that might be one for PaultheRef. I would reckon that its down to the specific rules of the competition and the reasons for the cancellation.

But, trying to think of an example, when has a referee stopped a game and it been given as a draw? The only example that's coming to mind is Italy vs Serbia in 2010, when it was cancelled after 7 minutes, and Italy were awarded the standard 3-0 win.

If a ref abandons a game then whoever caused it to be abandoned gets punished. So if the home fans riot, the home team gets punished by fines, ground closure or loss of points. Same if there is rascist abuse .

Can be a problem if away fans cause trouble as the home club is responsible for crowd control - at the England Poland game the Poles threw a flare on the pitch and it would potentially be England held to account.

And a game abandoned would rarely be automatically be a draw. It could be replayed or there will be a default score in the competition rules.

It could throw up the issue of a team needing to win, to win the league, and so rival fans get tickets in the home end and then start some racist chants. Game get abandoned and the other team gets awarded the victory meaning the other team fail to win the league

Oh yeah. I think I was thinking of postponement.

So Yaya Toure is now saying black players could boycott the 2018 World Cup in Russia - does he now speak for all black people?
I see Ian Wright has chipped in with his two-penneth in today's Sun as well.

There's enough white people to speak for black people without the likes of Toure getting involved.

Nevermind the variables that would have to fall into place for a group of fans to actually want to do that, and be in a position to, they'd then have to achieve it. Which would be impossible.

1)Don't let the racists win and boycott Russia
2)I know racism isn't right, but if someone paid me £250,000 a week, they could verbally abuse me as much as they wanted. Sticks and stones.
3)Do your talking on the pitch and score a goal to knock them out of the tournament.

Agreed. I'd rather be verbally racially abused than physically assaulted. Racism is horrible, but there are far worse crimes in the world - not in minds of modern England though.

Frimpong now playing the race card.

Asked why he's not in the squad for tonights game against Chelsea. He said 'LOL I wanna laugh'. 'Sometimes I wish I was white and English #realtalk'.
