Sadly with the continuing doubt and uncertainty about the take over is going to lead to many many more threads of this nature, whether they are true or not ?

There will, of course, be highlighted similarities with Drenthe and Williams as with Mariappa and Kebe's continuous injury stories, maybe its the "no smoke without fire" time again. Of course all it needs is some clarity as to the present situation this would, without doubt, be cleared up, conspiracy theories would be put to bed and we could all relax............................or panic of course.............................. But of course this is Reading.

Different to what some guys suggest on these threads that the club has no reason to explain to the supporters its actions, during this present time of uncertainty, be it by interview or paper reports, but I think the supporters do deserve some sort of explanation, after all its you 16-20,000 guys that go to the Mad Stad each home game.

For me I just can't believe that after all SJM promises of selling to a reputable, trustworthy millionaire buyer, that he has been sold a pup.

Do you people honestly think that a gob shyte like Drenthe would be able to keep his mouth shut if he was being kept out of the side because of money?

Exactly. And knowing this the club sure as hell wouldn't let him near the hospitality areas.

Plus how unbelievably thick would Williams and Drenthe have to be to sign contracts that are heavily contingent on appearance fees...

Any day that a) he's fit b) he could be arsed, which ends up being about three days every couple of years.

I don't miss him.

Sounds like nonsense. A contract is a contract. I don't see how a delayed transfer can affect whether it not we pay the odd bonus. And how on earth is a bonus going to be such a huge sum? Yeah so we can afford to pay £30k week (at a guess, whatever it is) every week injured or not, but we can't afford the odd appearance/assist/goal/win bonus? BS.

It is a bit concerning that he's suddenly nowhere to be seen even though he was unfit.

But having said that we REALLY don't miss him at all with McCleary who in my opinion >>>>> Kebe and Jobi fighting for the right wing. Amd now we have Hal and Obita fighting for the left. We have an incredible set of wingers so if it happens that Drenthe gets off the wage bill then so be it.

As I understand it Drenthe or Williams were not Adkins choice. Now that AZ is not around he doesnt have any pressure to play them. Drenthe is a one trick pony and Williams is pretty lightweight. Adkins is simply choosing his best team. I'm sure injury is a comfortable way of saying not really in my plans. Just a pity he couldn't have handled the Kebe situation a bit better as I think had we kept him we be able to create more chances for the forwards.

Even though Adkins tried to sign Drenthe when he was manager of Southampton?

Without revealing exactly, AZ signed him. I think, but I am not sure, Williams also, as he is a good mate of Drenthe
