agreed. we are very lucky burnley only drew so were still 10 off of the top of the table. if we play like this against a decent side i shudder to think of the score. hopefully NA will figure everything out before next weeks match against QPR

What???

No, it shows this is THE most competitive league..anyone can beat anyone.

It's a bad result, some players need an ego check, but it's not the end of the world, get over it. You're acting like a child.

Take your rose tinted glasses off........we got well and truly beaten by the bottom of the table team who hadn't won a game all season! we have an average squad lacking in most of the key positions that have shown no passion this season. I'm a STH and have been to many of the away games and we've been poor in all but 45 minutes this season.

There are obviously big issues within the cub, we had Mariappa and Kebe constantly "getting close" in August which proved to be "getting close to leaving" now we have Williams and Drenthe, both generally reported being on high bonuses, both "getting close" and no sign of Zingarevich since god knows when, some explanation is soon going to be demanded as to what the hell is going on.

Wow, what an embarrassing result for the TSI/Adkins apologists :!:

Are you still enjoying the 'superior football' we're playing under Adkins these days :?:

Do you not think floyd that Adkins has had the rug pulled from under his feet, he has a good record of playing attractive football, but with the right players, and it would seem that whatever is going on behind the scenes has prevented him from getting the right personnel into the club that would be comfortable playing that way, and as such been left with the hoofing brigade he had inheretid from McDermott.

No shit? And there was me thinking we were close with them in the game.

Note to one self:- I must get a season ticket as they know it all.

We have a good squad, today the team played without conviction and need a kick up the arse. We're still fifth though, not bad for a team 'lacking in most positions' and no passion shown, huh?

Well, in that case.....he should have some courage and tell TSI where to stick the job. He's a coward, happy to take the money and spout platitudes.

A dig at McD on a day like today is unbelievable.....we overachieved under his astute management.

it wasn't meant as a "dig" its just they play such different styles, he must have had some, guarantees as to what investment he was going to have to change the way we play, he is a good manager he has a pretty decent record, it can't be defended that we were very much a " kick and chase" team under McD.

At least under McDermott we tried to get the ball down the wings and into the box. This 'new style' of football is shit and it always will be. Bring back pressing, tackling and charging forward every time we get the ball. Most of all bring back the PASSION!!

Unless I portrayed it incorrectly, was Adkins having a dig at the supporters in his interview?

That's as may be, but we know the left back situation is Adkins's responsibility since he said outright that he believes a full back should be able to play in both positions. I was a left back and would rather play left half and left wing than right back. OK, a pro should be more versatile, but rare is the person who is equally instinctive and skilful with both feet. We should have a reserve left back.

I think you are spot on there, with most clubs that suffer from internal problems it isnt long before it starts affecting the on-field performances and results.

100% correct but how much of the failing to secure a second left back was Adkins fault for not finding one, or the clubs fault for its August transfer window activities, or lack of them due to available finance issues.
