Alarm bells were ringing when Morrison was names captain for the first game of the season.
He's out of his depth, everyone seems to blame Pierce but his form has only suffered since having to play alongside Morrison in my opinion.

Well it was oxf*rd awful. Pog was the best player on our side and he still was just a 5/10. Morro had an absolute shocker, Guthrie was oxf*rd atrocious, Baird may as well have not been there, shocking wing play. Gunter was better than usual though.

Their third goal should never have happened, stupid that they could have that opportunity. Wednesday looked good though, Antonio and Wickham were excellent.

But Peterborough was worse!

Wednesday fans were awful as well, first win of the year and they're silent until 4-1, and even then they're damn quite!

You' know, Yorkshire was voted one of the three best places in the world to visit last week. I wonder how many Reading fans would back that up?

Anyway; bugger it, come on; that was a pile of shite and there"s not getting away from it; but it was also a freak result.

If we lose anymore in that wonderful style, then let's start shitting ourselves properly. That was no more than a bad skid mark.

I remember Man U losing successive away game 5-0 at Newcastle then 6-3 at Southampton under Fergy, never recovered did they?

Just watched FL show and can't see how McCarthy can be really blamed for any of the goals ... and he made a couple of decent saves as well.

This. I turned on expecting to see a horror show from McCarthy but it wasn't that. Might be easier if we could pin the blame on the keeper but that's not the case with the goals. Might have done slightly better with the 2nd, with a quick movement of the feet rather than simply diving full length but that's about all.

The low marks that people are giving McCarthy must be due to other things that weren't shown on the FL show.

I'm sure that given his criticism of Federici after the Doncaster goal a couple of weeks ago that Royalee will say that McCarthy should take a large proportion of the blame for the third goal as he pushed it forward towards Morrison rather than behind the goal.

LOL at comparing Fergie with Adkins.

Barry the bird boggler How hilarious was that third goal? Ever seen Reading concede a funnier one?

Worst goal we've conceded since.....a 4 on 1 in our favour ended in one of Peterborough's SIX against us back in August. The ALARM BELLS were ringing even then for those of us who don't bury our heads in the sand :!:

We're leaking goals left, right and centre.... but no matter, as long as we pass the ball a bit more, that's all that matters.

Wrong from the start. Wasn't 442. Robson-kanu played behind Pog. 4231.

Seemed to me to be playing very high up with Pogrebnyak, not a midfielder, not a striker. 4-4-1-1 if you will...I may be wrong though. I'll take that as my only error though thanks...

Typically excellent summary from HH.

While I'm still very much in the camp that believes things will come good under NA given time and patience, the potential for significant unrest amongst sections of the fanbase was clear to see yesterday.

Interesting write-up for those of us who can no longer tolerate wasting time, money and effort to watch Reading away.

And any murmurings yesterday will seem like a Teddy Bear's picnic compared to the likely reaction if we get embarrassed once again next weekend, this time live on telly.
