Wycombe Royal
maffff He's also out of contract in the summer though. He might want to leave to get games. If we think he is that good of a prospect then it might be in our best interestse to try to blood him in.

Well lets hope he isn't enjoying life north of the border too much then as they will be able to sign him on a pre-contract at the start of Jan.

In the light of the Richard Brittain case I'd suggest that these might now be written somewhat differently nowadays and therefore less open to being treated as binding.

Tilehurstsouthbank Is it time Hector came back? Surely a better option that Gorkks? Probably a better footballer than Pearce and Morrison too. Definitely worthy of a spot on our bench.

Lets not get carried away with yet another youngster doing ok on loan again.

At the moment he's not even holding down a place at centre half in an Aberdeen side that has seen little Jonny Hayes start every week. I'm sure it's great for Hectors development, and everytime I've caught a bit of him on the telly he's done quite well (although from what I saw he was playing right back last night), but he's now 21 and he still looks like a lower league player to me. When Pearce was playing in the lower leagues, at what must've been 18/19 I think, he had the look of a defender who was playing below his level, I just don't get that impression with Hector at the moment.

What we need is a central defender with a bit of pace, experience and composure to come in displace Morrison or Pearce to strengthen the team. IMO Hector should be given the rest of the season on load to kick on and continue his development (if we think he's going to be good enough get the contract signed before the loan deal is extended and then next season he replaces Gorks and has his chance to follow in Morrison and Pearces footsteps of coming back from good loan spells and winning a place in the team).

howser They rate him highly up here, have done since he first turned up this end of the world, has spent the last couple or so games on the bench but has gained a lot of experience playing in this SPL. Has been a good loan for him and they are keen for him to stay until the end of the season.
One of our old boys at Aberdeen is Jonny Hayes he is another one who has doing good at this level as well

No idea.... rush of blood to the head from a 19 year old. A real shame as well as he's been getting good reviews down there and now he'll have to sit out a fair block of time.

But it wasn't as if he just walked away from it though. The club effectively had to buy him back even though he never left them.

I thought this was an interesting quote from Hammond....

"We've got a good relationship with Gary Johnson down there so it suits both parties," said Reading director of football Nick Hammond.

Paddy Madden, yes please!

Apologies for being pedantic but.....Gary Johnson wasn't in charge of Yeovil when Alex McCarthy went to them on loan.

I was waiting for that, but thinking wider of Yeovil as as club.

Also managed Bristol City, Peterborough and Northampton Town. IIRC at Northampton he took one or two of ours although that was only a short spell.

Didn't realise he was ex-Latvia manager. Explains the friendly.

1 game and a clean sheet against an International Side, not a bad record.

Hope everything's OK behind the scenes.
