jd82 Lolz a plenty @ QPR sellin tickets for the Bournemouth game via Groupon

A few clubs are doing it. Imagine my surprise when I got home from work yesterday to find that my missus had bought me a £30 ticket for the Huddersfield game on Groupon for £13. Only 2 downsides. 1) it's in Huddersfield's equivalent of the Upper West and 2) you have to redeem the ticket in person at the ground prior to match day.

It's a total non-story and the Mail have got so much wrong. They should be ashamed really for actually publishing that article.

You have to give it to Fernandez. It's a thin line between ambition and stupidity. When the Champions league winners 5 miles down the road have to advertise to sell seats for some games, how on earth does he think he will fill a 40k stadium in the championship?

They can't even sell out 18,000, let alone 40,000

I didn't realise they had signed Maiga from west ham too. This really does emphasise their continued financial doping.

The closest you could get to buying promotion that you could get away with. The alternative would be to offer every other club £20m to go easy on them in the remaining fixtures!

I think if Houdini Harry fails to take them up he will have to retire out of embarrassment with the riches at his disposal.

It was a joy to watch Burnley yesterday. They looked a good side built from very little but everyone pulling in the same direction, reminded me a little of us from a couple of seasons ago. Compared to the fakes ridiculously expensively assembled side of hair band wearing posers who seem to think they should be walking the championship. Which they should've but don't seem to grasp that you also have to be arsed as well.

Biggest wage bill in the league.
Most money spent on transfer fees of anyone in the league.

Personally I have never had the h8/envy or whatever so many seem to have about QPR.
I have a couple of m8s who are long-standing and long-suffering fans of QPR and when they were at the top level and we were toiling way below I took an interest in how they were doing including the eras of Marsh,Bowles,Gerry Francis etc as they were always the little club with a little ground (like Southampton) who somehow survived at the top level for so much longer than seemed likely.

This latest version of QPR as a club with money seems to have turned a lot of fans against them but many clubs have suddenly become big spenders so why the great angst about the way Rangers are going about things?
Nobody moaned when we were paying top dollar at the lower levels, investment that was clearly unsustainable and although we finally made it to the top level the project was indeed unsustainable and Mr Mad bottled it.
Fans from many clubs lower down don't like us for how we were, snapping up other clubs' best players in a desparate attempt to achieve promotion.

How different were we than how QPR are now?
Our local council did a marvellous job in finding land for our new ground, something that didn't happen for Brentford, QPR,Pompey or Southampton (although they eventually got theirs) so those clubs have had their ambitions quelled for many years and in the case of QPR and Pompey they have gambled that one day it will happen and in Pompey's case the gamble has failed-time will tell if the same happens to QPR.

Our gamble of excessive spending eventually paid off but it might well have gone the other way.
A friendly rivalry with QPR, yes, but some other stuff in this topic has been way over the top and IMHO too much holier than thou.

Are you SERIOUSLY putting Reading's spending patterns in the same league as QPRs?

Anyway, essentially it's all to do with the Tredder factor.
