maffff It was acknowledged within the club that we were as good as down by then. The players certainly knew it, anyway, no matter what the sound bites said.
Adkins was a long-term appointment once Brian had effectively sealed our fate.

Pandoras BoxBrian was sacked as the job he was doing wasn't deemed good enough therefore we brought in someone who was deemed to be a more suitable candidate
Surely McD was sacked because the invisible man could see next year's tasty Prem football treasures slowly slipping out of sight week by week which he desperately needed in order to pay SJM for the shares?
He took a last roll of the dice - booted McD out and tried to appoint a new messiah who could either keep us up with a few wins from a different style or else his betting slip would be thrown in the bin and he would vanish from the betting shop. Rings true?

LoyalRoyalFan Atkins is taking this club to League Two, with his mediocre signings and his mediocre management skills. He is the David Brent of the touchline.

That is one thing i completely disagree with. As good as down? Sealed our fate?
Just like we were as good as down after getting hammered at Plymouth? Or our fate was sealed after losing 4 of our first 6 in 2011, leaving us next to no chance of winning the league? No one gave us a prayer. Or 2 down with minutes to go v Chelsea, 3 down with 10 to go v WBA? Out of the cup at Anfield & Hawthorns?

Yes!
You're right, these situations are identical.
How did I fail to see...

SPARTA Drenthe has looked far from mediocre when he's played. He just needs to keep fit!
Williams has looked far from mediocre when he's played...
Bridge has been superb this season.
Ironically, in a thread where some can't let go of their former manager, it's his mediocre signings that are holding us back...

That's what Southampton fans said after his first six months there, plus rude comments about signing Lambert. Turned out alright there.

Our best performers this season have been Morrison - McDermott signing - & (in patches) Guthrie - McDermott signing.
by floyd__streete » 28 Nov 2013 14:03
Mr Angry Would that be the same Morrison loaned out to Huddersfield; who was then offered to Huddersfield as a make weight in trying to get Jordan Rhodes and who rarely got a game under Brian?
