Muskrat Great result tbf. I'm not Adkin's biggest fan by a long chalk but fair play to him for realising that his tippy-tappy possession based football doesn't reap rewards in this division and using the tried and tested BMac recipe for success.

Now let's see if we can capitalise against Chalton...

:|

Adkins doesn't believe in 'tippy-tappy' possession football, he believes in exactly the type of football we played last night. Winning football.

I can imagine NA using such a cringe worthy cliche, referring to himself in third person.

Yeah well, I'm getting increasing P!ssed Off with the notion that McDermott was somehow the inventor of every successful type of away performance. Ridiculous. Adkins gets the blame every time we lose, yet McDermott is to thank for every good performance? The guys been gone for a while, yesterday was built around Adkins football, and players who Adkins has either brought in or reinvigorated. McD is gone, rightly or wrongly, no longer has anything to do with this football club's failures and successes, and some people need to move on.

On a separate note, I can't recall a game where so many players were playing against their previous club. I make it seven???

No, but I do hate orange people.

Apart from Oompa Lumpas

and Cristiano Ronaldo.

3points How did Watford lose 3-0?? 65% possession, 27 shots (though only 2 on target), 15 corners. Tika-taka football - better in the Prem than the Chump

They were awful. Really awful. Don't remember the Yeovil keeper making a save, although by the stats he must've made 2 I guess. At least 2 of their 'shots' went out for a throw in, and another didn't even reach the line to be a throw in. They knocked it around the back a lot, without making any significant progress. Whereas Yeovil seemed to score every time they went forward, and looked dangerous all day long - a perfect counter-attacking away performance.

That's right - we look pretty but are pretty toothless in defence and attack.

Zola coming under some pressure now actually.

Doesn't help that Vydra isn't here and Abdi has an on-going injury...

It sounds obvious, dumb, and cliched all at the same time, I know.. But some people seem to have formul8ed the idea that Nige only wants his teams to pass it aimlessly and carelessly around the back, not score goals, not win games, not break quickly when the opportunity is available, not get the ball to wingers to take their men on etc, and whenever we manage to do those things all of a sudden it's 'Adkins has decided to revert back to the McD style of winning football'. It's complete fcuking nonsense, all Nigel has ever said is that he wants his defenders to be comfortable on the ball so that we can choose our opportunities to get forward more carefully so that we give the ball straight back to the opposition less. That =/= never play on the counter.

Of course not.

I was born the month after it ended, and I'm not from a mining community either.

I'm not even working class.
