St Pauli If I can assume that it was you what shouted it BBTL, can I just say you've gone way up in my estimation.

The question is, were you alive in 1985? (Sub question: Is it possible to judge groups of people in past events that happened in a time when one wasn't alive?)

That's why history is studied.

As a "German" I would have thought that you of all people would understand the importance of not holding political grudges based upon the actions of previous generations............

If you're suggesting that us Germans have an issue with holding grudges against certain peoples for perceived historical wrongs against us, then I put it to you that you are an anti semite.

The Jews never did anything bad to European gentiles except charge them interest. Which is irritating, but not needing the holocaust.

You seem to be suggesting we had some genuine reason to bear a grudge against them.

If on the other hand you're referring to people hatin' on Germans because of the world wars and holocaust, fill your boots and hate away, afaic we've gotten off massively lightly on all of those and deserve a few more grudges held against us.

Anti-Semitism was rife in europe at the time, yes even in Britain!

It doesn't take too much effort to look into the amount of anti-Nazi resistance there was in Germany.

Just about recovered from an excellent weekend all thanks to a brilliant away win.

Shades of Watford for first 20 mins when we dominated them and captialised with 2 quick goals.

Second half first 20 we were getting battered. Feared worst at 2-2 but was great to be able to put in that 3rd and hold on even with 10 men!!

2 home games that I feel we need to win and kick on now

paultheroyal Chant of the night.... YOU ONLY SING WHEN YOU ARE DRAWING!

I thank you, I thank you

Can I also add what an utter cnut Cox was - obviously has not respect for his former club. It was noticeable that McCleary didn't celebrate when we scored but Cox showed great pleasure at his goal, not to mention his role in getting Gunter his 1st yellow.

Up until the sending off I thought that Williams looked a bit off the pace with the ball bouncing off him and being caught in possession. But after we went down to 10 men he was immense, holding the ball up, taking us up the pitch and drawing numerous fouls to take the pressure off us. It's a shame he couldn't top it with a goal after MacAnuff's burst up the left wing.

A great game and a great atmosphere spilled only by the traffic on the M1 on the way up there - 4 bloody hours. I thought I'd get there in plenty of time to get something to eat before kickoff and in the end only made it with 10 minutes to spare

Four hours too, but left at 3pm.

The fish and chip result coming out of the ground was a right result though.

I stayed in Nottingham for the weekend.

Saturday went out of hotel about 10am Christmas shopping. Lovely atmosphere, Christmas lights and market, etc...

I love Nottingham. The centre is big, great shops, a sheet load of pubs and interesting things. I'd actually consider moving somewhere like that.

Can anybody tell me if the ball was out of play when Gunter kicked it which led to his first yellow card. If it wasn't then under which law could he have been booked?

I've read people saying that the first definitely wasn't a yellow, but what actually happened?

he hoofed the ball high into the stabd. If it was already off then obviously he could be booked for kicking the ball away. If it was not, as some have suggested, then how could he be booked?

Isn't there quite a bit of gun crime in Nottingham?
