Yep. Doesn't change the fact Adriano handled the ball in the first half or that Mascherano got caught the wrong side of Ronaldo and fouled him in the penalty area. When you see goals like the one Alexis scored you do have to wonder why such a good team need assistance from the officials.

Was reading an article somewhere on the interweb last week that stated that regardless of all the cuts in the playing squad and transfer budget, Rangers' annual wage bill for non playing staff was something in the region of £18m, of which there are approaching 200 people on the payroll. Clearly not sustainable in the long term and utterly bonkers considering what's happened in the last 18 months. Ally McCoist is on £18,000 a week.

Thomas Gravesen. Criticised by the Danish media in 2009 for retiring aged 32 to spend more time with his p*rn star girlfriend, now revealed he had invested his earnings in financial businesses and is said to be worth more than €100 million. Just announced he is retiring from investing and moving to Las Vegas with his new model girlfriend so he can spend more time gambling.

I find it absolutely incomprehensible that Bolton are £164m in debt. Talk about spectacular financial mismanagement!

Surely administration beckons for them?

All but £12M of that is debt to the owner though.

I'm sure it's not sustainable but I can't see them going into administration just yet.

Nearly £51m of that £164m loss was in the year to June 2013 alone.

Which means little. In fact, that level of loss on a record turnover would suggest that there are probably a few worried board members at the Bridge right now, despite the "nothing to see here" rhetoric that spews from the club.
