I don't really think Cummings was any better than Kelly, they both looked dodgy. Kelly has a better track record and is ultimately our best full back, so he gets the nod.

If we are serious about being a passing side, we can't use Akpan in a midfield two. Maybe as the most advanced in a midfield three, but he's way down the pecking order there.

Sharp and Pog both played well against Charlton, and I see no need to change anything (except for bringing Gunter back in).

Finally, there is no point selecting three wingers plus Blackman. This limits our options.

With that in mind, here is my team:

Cummings deserves another start. He has played twice, both ended in clean sheets. Gunter RB, Cummings LB.

The main problem on Tuesday was the lack of balance - no left footers on the LHS and players constantly cutting infield, therefore play Obita or HRK on the left, put McAnuff on the right, drop McCleary to the bench. Maybe also give Pog a rest - he needs a break from all that falling over and passing backwards. Therefore:-
McCarthy / Kelly or Cummins, Pearce, Gorkks, Gunter / Jobi, Guthrie, Williams, Obita / HRK / Sharp.
