We only showed a bit of passion once ALF had scored and it way too late by then.

I agree Adkins is like Brendan Rodgers - you play your BEST players Nige, if they're fit. Pog should definitely have started and if Drenthe had been up for a full hour or more, started him too. I've not been to many games this season as I can't be bothered to sit in the cold and watch the ineptitude week in, week out - even if we scrape a win, we're never fully in control and I felt vindicated in my postion after watching the game today.

Drop Robson-Kanu, drop Obita. Why isn't he playing McAnuff? Why was Kelly on the bench today? To be honest I'm bloody fuming at the amount of money we, as a family, spend on season tickets etc, and we're served up this dross. It shows what a rubbish league we are in when we can lose 2-1 at home to a bottom 6 club and still be in a play off place. I'd like the club to be honest about the TSI situation and AZ in particular - just so we know what we're up against in the coming months. I might give Nigel a bit of slack then, but at the moment, you have to question his team selections and tactics.

Barry the bird boggler Is it just me or is Adkins a bit of a plank. He seems totally happy with the performance because we had loads more possession but just didn't get the breaks!

Honestly what is he on, possession means naff all if you don't actually create anything and flooding the midfield with three wingers is bloody stupid way to go about trying to wrest control of a game in the first place.

And that's the next thing shouldn't we be making the opposition have to worry about us and therefore not chop and change all the time to try and counter what they may or may not do. That way you get understanding built up and if you're a half decent team results will start to come.

Rapidly beginning to lose it with our leader.

I love the fact he flooded the team with wingers, yet we played with no width. As you say, Grade A plank.

Pog dropped :?:

I dedicate today's result and performance to those increasing, desperate few on these pages who think that Adkins tenure has in any miniscule way been better than what we had immediately before. I hope you're embarrassed with yourselves, but if you apologise on this thread we can forgive you :!:

Very poor. Dull football with no penetration or impetus. Plenty of decent possession in the first half but we did nothing with it, we weren't getting balls behind the defence and wingers couldn't beat their man for love nor money. It seems to be one step forwards two steps back with us atm.

Drenthe was lively and skillful when he came on - the only positive to come out of today.

Get a grip, Floyd. You cannot judge a manager who is sitting pretty in the league in 6th place but playing utter shit. I for one, won't be calling for anyone's head until they have a good go. Being December isn't really giving him a chance, is it?

It'll be better once we get Jason back, it'll all fall nicely into place.

Oh yeah - not sure why I typed that. I did mention ALF's goal though so I'm not a complete idiot.

Yes I can, I can judge it as 8 months of uninspiring football since Adkins took over.

Some of us just wise up to things quicker than you do, slow poke :!:

Maybe he was rested. When you play 3 games in 8 days you have to use the squad - otherwise what is the point of having a squad?
if he picks Sharp over Pog in the next game, then you may suggest that NA prefers Sharp and that might not be a wise idea, but resting a striker in the second of two home games that, on paper, are against two easier sides, isnt an extraordinary cock-up - even if we did lose.

Funny that, you 'wised up' the day Adkins was employed.

Well pissed off tonight. Thought we could not play any worse than Tuesday. Well Nige you certainly achieved that.

Every ffin player deserves 0 except Guthrie who deserves -10 and Drenthe 1 for a little energy towards the end

Guthrie at fault for both goals
Gave away free kick leading to first
Headed the ball to their player for their second.

Heard Adkins interview.
He thought we played well first half

EXCUSE ME!!!! Wot ffin game where you watching

Absolute RUBBISH!

Possibly of no significance but according to whoscored.com our player with the most amount of touches today was:
Cummings, the fringe player right-back playing out of position.

That's not a criticism of Cummings, apparently he played well.

But how does Cummings get 107 touches in a match, and CM Danny Williams only has 33?

Touches of Cummings: 107
Touches of Obita + Williams (both played 90 mins): 101

:?

Sick of Adkins now. What's the point of passing the ball around the back 4 for 10 minutes if Gorkss gets it and just lumps it forward 9/10? What's the point of crossing into the box for 90 minutes but starting with HRK who has never scored a header in his life? Why not, after 45 minutes of not putting in a successful cross, change things and work the ball through the middle? Why drop Pog if we're going to play long balls? Why wait so long before bringing Drenthe on who was clearly fit? The football I watched today was worse than anything under McDermott. Stop changing the team for no reason. We're playing a bottom 6 side why start with only 1 stiker!

Adkins tinkers with the team and we got what we deserved.

He needs to stop watching DVD's of the opposition and start concentrating on getting Reading playing some football that goes forward at pace. All this possession sh*t, passing it backwards is utter crap.

Guthrie a leader you are having a laugh....give the captains arm band to Pearce.
