Although our League Cup effort may contradict this logic, I am going to be optimistic and agree with you. I am hoping that as it is a cup game they might employ a bit more urgency, even if it's just to try it once.

This has a Reading win written all over it...

We are playing poorly in the league
Players will have very little pressure (compared to league games)
We're away from home - that's good
We're taking a full allocation and away support is good compared to home when there's moans and groans

Reading to win 3-1

Edit: Blackman to score twice and show us all that he really is decent enough to be in the squad regularly as a starting player

From what I can gather from various twitter stalking ventures, Sweeney, Long (Sean not Shane), and Tanner have all travelled to Brighton.

Adkins to play strongest team

Clearly resulting in a 0-3 loss. Guthrie and Pog to be sent off. Federici comes on up front for the last 20 minutes

It's like a monsoon down here, so I checked their site for updates.

Fuller's Jack Frost is apparently what we'll be offered.

Lots of flood alerts on local news, but no mention of how the pitch is...

I'd advise all to check before travelling - I live 15 mins from The Amex and its been monsoon like rain most of the day and due to rain morning and afternoon tomorrow - if the pitch is OK they've got a good groundsman...

Apparently it's meant to be slightly better tomorrow, but that isn't saying a lot...

1-1 & a replay we really don't need right now.

played in Prospect Park in front of two blokes dressed as lions.

Seriously, why would we not want this right now?

It is exactly what we need (to give Nigel another two games to sort his formation and (allbeit limited) team squad) selection out.

I reckon the team is walking wounded at the moment so an outright win would be a lot better than another game...
