Which footballer enjoys losing? Of course players were going to come out and moan after McDermott left - you're kidding yourself if you think the same won't happen when Adkins goes either.SPARTAsandmanSPARTA Dolan likes the same brand of football that Adkins likes. He'd get 6 months with this shite lump it team who can't adapt before you all want him out too.
Oh dear. Someone seems a little tired. Has the respect of the players and has had a big effect on more than a few of their careers.
Does he? Le Fondre and Karacan both said after he left that they were unhappy with our tactics (Le Fondre) and how they were utilised (Karacan). I'm sure there would have been others who didn't go public. The direct football was effective, but it was still hard to watch; and McDermott couldn't adapt to the Premier League. Even Leeds fans in 8th are starting to moan about the football.

RoyalBlue And which team ended up in the PL far better suited for survival there?
I'll give you a clue, they are still there whereas the team that played 'The Reading Way' and got to the PL on workrate, commitment, team spirit etc. came straight back down.

CentiaRoyal Certainly not the team that played on Wednesday. Only survivors being McCarthy, Cummings and Pearce

Ouroboros They were 15th when he was sacked. We were 19th.
Wikipedia In preparation for their first season back in the top flight, Southampton strengthened their squad relatively heavily during the summer transfer window, breaking the club's transfer fee record twice with the acquisitions of Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez in July and Uruguayan midfielder Gastón Ramírez from Bologna on deadline day.[10][11][12][13] Other significant additions included Rangers midfielder Steven Davis,[14][15] Japanese defender Maya Yoshida,[16][17] and young full-back Nathaniel Clyne.[18][19]

Brum Royal If this does happen. Who would we then get in?
by floyd__streete » 03 Jan 2014 14:30
Platypuss Going by the likes of Blackman, Carricco and Akpan, I'm glad we didn't give McDermott any more than that.

If McDermott had had £35 million to spend and bought those three clowns then he should never have been allowed to work again.
