Speculation - Matthew Connolly

by CountryRoyal » 02 Jan 2014 21:05

Was very good in the brief time he played for us (before he got injured at millwall irc) in 11/12 and played almost all of Cardiff's games in their promotion season. Hasn't got a look in this year. Worth a shout? Could help solidify our defence and can't be worse than gorkss.

He's won three Championship medals in three years. Therefore, if we sign him then we'll be guaranteed champions.

Is he surplus to requirements at Cardiff? Was playing the last time I saw them (a while ago). We should have signed him when we had the chance.

He pretty much only played RB for us where he looked like your standard quick-for-a-CB-playing-at-FB type player. Was never terribly impressed with him at RB for us but if he is a better CB then, sure, why not. We have no depth anyway.

Would be an excellent signing.
