Royalwaster The issues isn't not being able to pass but to receive a ball, control it immediately and see the pass before the defender sees it/closes it down; our players lack the technique to do it - so other teams close us down quickly and win the ball easily .... if you close down a very skillful player too quickly he'll turn you and be past you before you notice it; one of the few who can do this in our team is Royston ... you'll see him receive a ball and control it in the direction he wants it to go and thereby get past his marker ... but most of the others lack this skill.

No they don't, our players are decent enough. But all of their footballing ability seems to be being bullied/coached out of them.

LOL of course it is.

His old sides never played any football did they

Agreed
They are good enough
The job of management is to get the best out of them which is clearly not happening

MmmMonsterMunch Be brave Reading board of directors. Accept a mid-lower table finish this year & get rid of the dead wood / gobsh1tes.

Yeah right

The only dead wood in in our club is the sodding management

Don't forget AZ's first choice was going to be Paolo!

Point understood but that's just not the case. Le Fondre's had a shot saved.

Maybe they're not good enough to do what management is trying to achieve though ... how many of our players would get anywhere near the Swansea team when they played in the Champ? Just watch them and see how they benefit from instant control ...

Well either they are an incredible bunch of weak babies or McDermott was a bully!

What a load of old rollocks that claim is. Ability to kick a football does not necessarily mean someone has footballing ability. Some of our players have always been technically weak.
