TheBaldOne Pogrebnyak

Obita Tanner Drenthe

Guthrie Tshibola

Long Hector Pearce Gunter

McCarthy

subs
federici
sweeney
keown
McCleary
Blackman
Le Fondre
Taylor

see how that does

Long is a right back. Our yoof left backs are Griffin and McLennan (Griffin is a year older), and Keown should be ahead of Long for a right back slot IMO.

I also think Tanner ahead of Taylor is a bold move. Tanner probably has more potential, but Taylor is more physically developed and has just put in a few promising performances.

But I do like your team- much better than the ones attempting to play 5 at the back.

Can't see Pog keeping the score to single figures behind that rather lightweight back line, let alone a clean sheet. McCarthy might sneak a consolation goal upfront though. Gets my vote.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOUR SO FUNNY MATE

That should be you're as in "you are" not your as in belonging to you.

You're welcome.

Victor Meldrew
rob the royal -----------------------------McCarthy--------------------------
------------Gunter--------Pearce-------Hector---------------
Cummings------------------------------------------------Obita
---------------------------Guthrie-------------------------------
-------------McAnuff-----Williams-----Drenthe----------------
---------------------------Blackman----------------------------

Federici, Kelly, Gorkks, Akpan, McCleary, Pogrebynak, Le Fondre

So you start with a striker who never scores goals backed up by a midfield that never scores goals?
Are you looking for what used to be a regular score at Watford, 0-0?

 Probably indicative of how crap our options are at the moment that anyone has taken this line-up seriously.

It was more of a "if this was football manager and I was on this kind of run and back-to-basics 4-4-2 had failed me, I might try something for a laugh before I get sacked" line-up.

IMHO the weakest link in that team (apart from the formation) is probably Guthrie. He's been getting progressively more useless recently, but from what little I've seen of Akpan this season, I can see why nobody wanted him on loan and why he's not seen as a realistic option so for that reason he doesn't come in to the equation for me.

Anyway - version 2:

-----------------------------McCarthy----------------------------
-------------Hector---------Pearce-------Gorkss---------------
Cummings-------------------------------------------------Obita
---------------------------Williams-------------------------------
-------------McAnuff-----Blackman-----Drenthe----------------
--------------------------Pogrebynak-----------------------------

And in answer to the question... if this team could get me a 0-0 from tomorrow I'd probably go for it

Its anyones guess what team the idiot will put out. After a year he still does not know his best team.

Has he actually played the same team in consecutive games?

Exactly. How are we to put on a decent bet at Paddy Power when we don't know who's in? Selfish I call it.

So, what's the formation?

442 with Obita at left back?

352 with Obita central mid and Jobi and Mcleary as wing backs?!

All things considered with opposition, me might just be packing the midfield and going three at the back.

But seriously, no point trying to guess what ADkins is doing.

Obita playing LB, Kelly and Cummings on the bench.

Brave move putting Obita at left back. If it works this could look a great decison.

injuries mean the midfield looks worrying weak though.

Every time we started getting a settled side early on we had injuries destroy it. Since then it's just been a case of nothing works.
