He's got a problem with his knee and is struggling to keep fit on loan, so I'm quite surprised that anyone's actually bid money for him. At first I didn't take it seriously thinking it was a windup then I realised it was Reading and thought that figures. I understand Bridge, Roberts, Morrison et al need some company in the physio rehab room and Hobbsy is a cracking chap who'll make a great addition to the injured list. The deal looks done unless Reading's bid can be matched, but I doubt anyone else would be so stupid.

£600k seems like a fairly big offer for a player who has a history of injury (albeit his knee seems to have held up OK at Forest, and no doubt any offer would be subject to a medical), and who is also available on a free in the Summer....

To be fair "substantial" here isn't RFC spin, it's what Hull manager called it. Quite fair, given he's injury prone and contract is expiring.

He has to talk really though - cos if Forest don't do anything, he'll be stuck without football as i doubt Hull will ship him out on loan again. Also talking to us will give Forest a kick up the arse and prove to him if they really want him or not
