With Luiz now a 'midfielder' they are basically going for the same spot in the team.

soggy biscuit Nemanja Matic rejoining Chelsea for £22M, after leaving them for £4M 2 years ago.

"The game against FC Porto was my last game for Benfica.

"I want to improve, I want to play in a better league and I want to go to Chelsea, a club I also love."

"I want to thank everyone at the club and all the fans. Benfica will forever be in my heart.

"I played here for two-and-a-half years, gave my best at every training session, and now it is the right moment to leave.

"I want to improve, I want to play in a better league and I want to go to Chelsea, a club I also love.

"I would also like to thank Benfica's president, he did everything he could to keep me, but I wanted to leave

Looks likely we'll make a profit on Kevin De Bryune of £10m, despite him hardly playing.

According to Jose, Luiz is still a central defender. Suspensions/injuries permitting Jose has the option to play him as a defensive midfielder. Matic is more competition for Obi Mikel really.

For Chelsea's sake I hope that's not much of a competition. :)

Pepe the Horseman According to the Daily Fail, Ravel Morrison is going to Fulham.

WHU has reported Fulham on two counts of an illegal approach for the player.

Unlike Morrison to be involved in anything illegal now is it?

Anyway, 2 word response to West Ham on that one: Par Dew.

At least Fulham didn't state their intentions live on Football Focus.

You'd have to think United have a signing up their sleeve if this is true, they're not exactly blessed with midfield options.
