themadstad Did I read someone say the players had been told about the takeover before the game on Sat? Certain I read something.

Anton Zingarevich is looking to sell his majority share in Reading. Anton Zingarevich is looking to sell his majority share in Reading.
Talks to takeover Reading by investors from Oman have reached an advanced stage.
The Reading Post understands the group behind the bid for the club have the backing of some of the Arab state’s Royal family.
The Omani FA (OFA), who Reading have strong links with, are helping progress the talks but are not thought to be involved in the consortium itself.
There has been speculation that a deal has been agreed, but sources inside the club deny this and do not expect anything to be concluded this week.
Similar to a rival bid from an American consortium , the offer on the table from Oman is for 100 per cent control, not just Anton Zingarevich’s 51 per cent share.
Reading have built up links with Oman in recent years and are partners with the OFA in the Kickworldwide Outreach Programme in Sohar.
Oman: Five things a Reading FC fan should know about the Gulf state
They hosted the national side in an international friendly match at Madejski Stadium in September and the Post understands another game is scheduled for this summer, if a date can be agreed.
Delegates from Oman have been at several Reading games this season, most recently the 2-1 defeat by Wigan on December 21.
Speculation that a takeover deal is close increased after Reading bid £600,000 for Hull City defender Jack Hobbs on Friday.
Oman: Five things a Reading FC fan should know about the Gulf state
Just 24 hours earlier, Royals boss Nigel Adkins had hinted he would not be able to do any transfer business until the club’s ownership issues had been sorted.
“Things are going on behind the scenes and we need to let the hierarchy sort it out,” he said.
“Until it’s organised we have to wait patiently.
