The Reading Comical. The paper that posts stories and then edits them later.

Takeover is way off according to 'sources' (no direct quotes) - headline is that it could "drag on for 'months'"

Adkins says stuff is happening in the background, but nothing he is able to comment on, and that we need to be patient. Basically that it will be done when it is done.

We can still loan players for a week after the transfer window slams shut (it doesn't actually say "slams shut", I'm just hyping up the crowd)

Royal Lady I thought someone ITK on here said the manager and players were told of takeover before the game on Saturday? What a load of old rubbish!

That would be Sparta

Yes they were. Are you getting impatient because the club isn't ready to go public yet? We'll know when we know. Money is available and we're looking at players, why worry or doubt for the sake of it?

Yeh, think it's just the chronic taking the Forest chairman's tweet as a done deal.

But Hobbs said (quote): "F/ck off, I would sooner shoot my entire family in the face, scrape the bits of face from off the walls and floor, glue the bits to an AIDS patients' sore-covered bellend and slide myself up and down on it until he fires my family's bits of face along with his AIDS into my mudhut, so my lonely, family face-arsed life ends in a slow painful death, than sign for Reading."

So I don't think he will come to Reading.

As it wasn't on Twitter (too many characters), I think that this may not be entirely true.

Sounds as if it may be based loosely on fact though...

Love that picture of SJM and the Omani fella.

Sir John is thinking 'I wonder if I chuck in a couple of second hand wigs as well. Might just clinch the deal!'

I had wondered whether we were going to have THE big announcement at the game on Saturday, followed by the introduction to the watching thousands of our new signings : .That dream appears to have been well and truly blown out of the water  :o

That Chronicle article has no sources, no direct quotes, and is pure speculation - but you're trusting it, even with their appalling track record for club related news? You should know better than that!

Madejski: "Thanks Mr Oman. Now if you could just pop your signature here..."
Adkins: "oops, got a text coming through...HA HA, IN YOUR FACE SOUTHAMPTON!"
Mr Oman: (pauses) "What is this Southampton?"
Madejski: "Oh, ignore Nigel. He's just heard the chairman of Southampton has left."
Mr Oman: "Oh dear, poor Southampton."
Madejski: "Yeah, though don't worry. They have a great team..."
Mr Oman: "Uh-huh."
Madejski: "...fantastic support..."
Mr Oman: "Okay."
Madejski: "...are playing some superb football at the moment..."
Mr Oman: "Right..."
Madejski: "...and are sitting pretty safe in the Premier League. They will be fine."
Mr Oman: "They will?"
Adkins: "Yeah, they will be snapped up by some clever bastard in no time!"
Mr Oman: "Where this Southampton?"
Adkins: "Just down the road."
Mr Oman: "Sure, look - this pen doesn't work, I'm just going to my car to fetch another..."

Yeah but.... while Cortese was brought in as chairman he didn't have any skin in the game. The Swiss banker who pegged a while ago funded and owns the Scummers and placed Cortese as chairman. The Swiss banker's daughter holds the trust fund for Southampton FC and says she is looking for a replacement chairman. Or summat.

Agent Balti
2 world wars, 1 world cup If the Arabs take over will there be a fatwa declared on players who aren't performing?

Will be quite useful I reckon.

Finally we can get shot of Federici.

Not been to many games recently then?

I guess you also missed our promotion season.
