sandman And that time there was going to be an "announcement soon" about Sissoko and others which would mean we'd all "have egg on our faces".

noelgallagher The takeover was completed tonight by the Omanians. Expect the club to make an announcement at some point next week. Funds have been provided upfront to the club in advance from the investors in the same way it was when Zingarevich took over. There will be the usual checks carried out but this is now confirmed. Expect some more bids for players early next week. Quite happy to be hauled over the coals if I'm wrong but I have better things to do with my time than make up stories.
Thought you guys would like to know.

winchester_royal Tbf to Liam he did call the Kelly signing. I'm going to follow along with the slightly naive belief that nobody lies on here and that all is now well
Why are they waiting till next week though?

Royal Rother It's fun keeping up with this thread from a distance.
I particularly like the fact that there is NO WAY the players could have been told any positive news about the takeover before the match on Saturday - because 1. Adkins has said he wouldn't have any funds unless a takeover was done and 2. because the fans would surely have been told as well by now.
Astounding logic there.
I'm calling Bollox. (With a capital B it seems, because that's what Apple does...)

when you say fact can you see your whole argument crumble before your very eyes, irrespective of the truth of the matter..

Thing is Adkins said that some time before Saturday, then last week we bid for Hobbs, and when asked about the takeover after the Watford game, he smiled and said he couldn't comment.
Not sure how that makes it fact that the players couldn't have been told, to me it indicates quite the reverse.
As for "the fans would've been told by now", the TSI deal happened around the Christmas period, but the fans weren't told until 20th Jan, several weeks later. Again, I'm not sure that your argument holds water.....

Reading4eva Have heard a press conference scheduled for Wednesday at 11am to announce the takeover. It will be the Omanis

Liam? Liam? You having a laugh mate? Liam can't spell let alone post on a forum. Posting on a forum to Liam means delivering mail to the Forum in London. He thought the O2 Brixton Academy was where O2 train their call center staff.
