6ft Kerplunk Does Hart really think we believe that he was going to dive forwards into Gouffran who was moving away from both the ball and goal? It was past him and in the net before he'd even sorted his feet out to start his dive.

If gouffran never moved the ball would have hit him, so by him moving out the way of the ball that surely make him involved in play

1983-84
West Ham v Bury (LC)
12-1
1986-87
Liverpool v Fulham (LC)
13-2
1987-88
Watford v Darlington (LC)
11-0
1990-91
Everton v Wrexham (LC)
11-0

Frimmers is actually correct in this case - the early rounds of the 45/46 FA Cup were all two legged matches, because the league hadn't been restarted yet after WW2. So it's 12-0 on aggregate, rather than over 90 minutes.

Yes, I did see the "aggregate" and I was aware the FA Cup was over 2 legs in 1945/46 and Aldershot knocked Reading out 2 legs in the previous round.

No real detriment intended to Aldershot or Frimmers as I presume it was a statistic picked up from the media, I doubt Frimmers was fretting during the game about the threat to Aldershot's record. It just seems a pretty meaningless statistic, contrived by the media to place some significance on a run of the mill victory by a Manchester City side packed with International superstars over a pretty shit West Ham side.

Why discount Preston's victories because they were only one leg?

That "Aldershot" no longer exists though; so the current Aldershot have no more claim to that record than the MK Dons do to having won the FA Cup in 1988.

stadium expansion approved to 62k. http://www.mcfc.co.uk/the-club/stadium-future/design

quite nice. just glad it wont look like Arsenal's when it's done!

sportingintelligence ‏@sportingintel
#mcfc currently lag behind in match day income (MDI). In 2012-13 (euros) - PL 1: #mufc €127.3m; 2: #afc €108.3m; 3: #cfc €82.5m; 4: Liverpool €52.1m; 5: Tottenham 46.9m; 6: #mcfc €46.2m.

sportingintelligence ‏@sportingintel
Lots of ppl saying #mcfc can't even fill the Etihad now, let alone 60k+. Actually gaps are generally unsold away fans (in PL) + lesser cups.

I like City's ground-it has a German park feel to it with all that space outside.
BTW City must have enjoyed watching Chelsea and Arsenal dropping points over these past 2 nights.
