YateleyRoyal Sorry, you've still not done enough to change my mind haha. Mata has shown before he's very good at playing wide, and is a much, much better player than Salah. You can't tell me that they're only doing it for profit.

There is "playing wide" and there is "winger" - Mata isn't a winger and is on his way to Utd

And neither are Hazard or Willian.

£37m for Mata
£11m for Salah

£26m in the bank

Good business potentially.

Hence why they've now bought a winger

As I said Mourinho is slowly starting to build "his team"

Salah can be what Robben was for Mourinho back when he first came to England. Think it's a fair enough saying tbh, they don't really have anyone like Salah in their squad and have looked in need of a different dimension at times this season. Would have rather seen him go to Liverpool mind..

Surely they haven't got that sort of money in the bank as they have just spent a small fortune buying back one of their old players?

We pocketed £10m on De Bruyne don't forget.

And last page, when I called them attacking midfielders, you said to check their heat maps as they play wide. Which mata can do.

If this is true it's really sad. Selling one of the leagues best players just to make a profit and sign a cheap replacement is sad. It shouldn't be about making money, it should be about using the best players to win as much as possible.

But he's not a winger, else they wouldn't have sold him and got this kid in :D

Cashing in on a player that clearly doesn't fit in Mourinho's plans isn't sad. Its sensible.

Chelsea didn't need to sell Mata, but its a waste of talent if he's just warming the bench. Mata is highly regarded as a person at Chelsea and its nice the club think a lot of him, they're letting him move to Manchester United. Its a nice story in a way, but people will always try and put a negative spin on it.

Good luck to him. He'll always be a legend at the club.

It is lovely how selfless Chelsea have behaved around this and clearly they just want wants best for Mata here.....

Its also nice how Chelsea waited until after they had played Utd before moving him on in time for him to face Arsenal and City....

SSN's advert for deadline day has a brief shot of Natalie walking away from the camera, it's possible her arse is now her best feature

Don't think women call them briefs but I'll keep an eye out for the ad now.
