I think this is a bit out of date. Just my opinion but given the constant refrain of "getting to January" earlier in the season has been replaced with "sticking with what we've got" I believe Adkins had touted players like McCleary, Akpan and McAnuff as he was keen to bring in funds to rebalance his squad and he had surplus cover in those positions.

He could then have brought in Billy Sharp, another left back, and a back up centre back. However the performances of Obita at left back, Gorkss at centre back and the above three in the team has meant a rethink, and hes decided against any ins or outs.
