I have a relation who works for the local rag in Sunderland and he has heard that the Mackems will make a last minute bid for ALF in order to improve their chances of staying up.

Surely we can't sell him at this late stage.

I can't see any bid being accepted as it would leave us too short up front. Even I can't believe the club would be that stupid.

Sky also linking them with three other strikers. Same BS every year, just ignore it.

Also SSN picking up on No Fixed Abode's claim on Twatter of a £4m fee agreed and running with it!

I can see the cunning plan. We'll sell Alf and then extend JR's contract for another 3 years. Pure 'Reading Way'!

There is no time to get a decent replacement, and almost impossible to get one of equal quality. It also leaves us with one poxy striker. Blackman and HRK are wingers. It's no good using them long-term as cover up front. It works occasionally in the short-term only.

It's a load of cock and ball. When does the window close? Roll on 11pm or whatever it is!
