As for the ban - very surprised they overturned it. There was definitely an argument that Gorkss would have got over on the cover but from the main camera angle it wasn't clear.

Secondary camera made Afobe's touch look quite heavy and more likely Gorkss could get over, so perhaps that's why they rescinded it.

Defo penalty though, don't think that would be the reason.

the video that the club used in their defence showed a couple of slight touches on his back, and then afobe just pretending to be tripped taking a massive dive
from that im starting to doubt it was eve a pen.

despite being adamant it was at the game

The ref was just shit, but he hasn't much chance with W'orso as his 4th official really, has he?

'greed If i was the ref I would have given it. Pearce got outpaced and he grabbed Afobes shirt, no reason to grab him, especially in the box.

W&E Royal Why do people keep saying it was Benik Afobe that dived, it was their #10 Jacques Maghoma.

Are you a referee in disguise?

Clearly stretches it. Grab the shirt and you take the risk of paying the price. Don't want to pay the price? Don't grab the shirt. Simple.

Hill is running D'Urso a very close second for the worst referee ever to have trod the turf at Madejski Stadium.

if you grab a shirt lightly and the man waits half a second before pretending to be tripped? is that still a foul?

Indeed. But as judging how much contact is too much would be very difficult its easier to say any contact is not allowed.(in terms of grabbing)

I can confirm that following the upheld appeal which followed my swipe at Adkins for excuse-making, I will be serving a 1 match ban for the QPR match and will not be attending within 60 miles of Loftus Road.
