Reading FC games on Valentine's Day

by Big Foot » 14 Feb 2014 13:26

Only ever been to one Reading game on Valentine's Day, the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United 8 (eight) years ago. A classic if only for this chant

You can stick your Valentine's up your arse
I've come to watch the Royals 'cos they're class
She wanted to go for dinner
So I had to bin 'er
And Neil Warnock takes it up the arse
UP THE ARSE

I said Neil Warnock takes it up the arse...

Wasn't the Swindon game moved to Valentines day because ITV Digital wanted to screen it live?

ITV W@nk W@nk W@nk, ITV W@nk W@nk W@nk.

Anyone know of a free alternative to ImageShack? THey want to charge me $2 a month to upload the odd image on here!

If I can't find a free alternative, will be snookered if I want to upload anything of interest. So infrequent it doesn;t warrant shelling out for the privilege!

I was at that game in the Arkell's stand. Sure there was a minute's silence, but due to a mob of fans arriving late and singing outside the away end, it sounded like Reading fans in the ground were ruining the min8s silence.

Sammy Igoe got sent off in that as I recall and a Swindon player went walkies later in the game. Famous also for Leo Roget's only appearance for us.

I was at that Swindon game - remember it being cold. And not in the least romantic. And we weren't even married then either.

I was at the Swindon game. I completely forgot about this, so thanks for the reminder, but I've wanted to see the halftime analysis for ages, to see if my inflatable sheep got a good Valentines day ITV airing, as I threw it up towards the ITV box at the back of the terrace. I doubt it did, but still, I'd like to see it

I think two of them got sent off in injury time? No love lost there...

I was at that Swindon game...

Think it was a dull 0-0 draw. Mate pulled out last minute, so took then football hating girlfriend, who moaned (no not that way) about going, about how cold it was and how boring football was all the time..

Then to add to my woes, got a hot dog at half time, bit into it and bit into something hard which broke my tooth and spent the second half, bored, being moaned at and in agony...

Capped off (no pun intended) a cracking valentines night....

Football!!!!

The middle sentence will be why you're still with her.

Was that the Swindon away game that was on TV and Phil Whitehead wore their keeper kit?
